Let's say it's a mystery so we think the devs aren't screwing with us.

I'm surprised that this still has to be stated... maybe in the new theory reference guide Erimgard and Hombre are making we need in big bold text at the top, "TMC does not come before OoT!"

I thought tMC did come before OoT, seeing as someone mentioned that tMC was the birth of the Master Sword from all the elements combined across Hyrule.

Other than that, my personal Zelda timeline is completely screwed up then.

It could fit perfectly into Link's hands because it was made for the royal family's messenger. The Oocca did make everything, even if they lack arms. There city was built to be usable for them AND for any other races when the royal families messenger came up. Also, about your earlier quote...Wind Waker comes before Minish Cap so your saying the Oocca go from chickens to frogs to humanoids.

Are they an old enough race to have devolved? They may originally have been 6' and had hands but then they got the statues to build everything. They may have enventually begun to devolve, as they weren't really using their bodies effectively, their arms turning to wings, their hieght decreasing. This would of been gradual, but the Oocca have been in Hyrule long enough for it to happen.

That must of been a bad day, when everyone becomes chickens :p

Hmmm. Well the Dominion Rod has no purpose anywhere but Hyrule, it's used in getting to the sky, but not once in the Sky. It will remain a mystery as the who created it... but I think you're not entirely wrong in saying it was the Sheikah or Hylians. i think it would've been a collaborative project between the Oocca and said Hyrulian races.

Ohh. sorry... I thought most people had moved past that notion now. Having not yet played TMC myself, I'm going by what I've gathered here at ZU. Okay, reasons for TMC not being before OoT: (You'd probably be better asking someone such as Erimgard for better details:

+The Minish-crafted Four Sword is used, not the Master Sword,
+One of the timeline arcs is TMC- FS-FSA.
+Vaati [presumably] attacks Hyrule again between TMC and FS (meaning FS's backstory may or may not be TMC).

Well for those who believe the Oocca died out, would mean they kind of devolved into extinction. If the Oocca are the Goddesses as some believe they could've devolved from God's to birds to dead.. I doubt it, but it's an idea!

Re: The Oocca - Engineers of Hyrule.

Well Maystag, I believe they have always been in the form we see them in. The Dominion Rod was their method of constructing their buildings.

There are 2 reasons why there are doors for people in the City in the Sky.

1) Game play: Link needs to be able to walk around the City.
2) Because the Oocca expected people to visit there, like the Messenger of the Sky.

And also even though they're bird like creatures, they can still have doors, for such things as keeping the heat in, or to keep things out, such as in a defense of Argorok!

The doors would be tall enough for people as the Oocca expected people to visit (like Link). This is also explains the walkways.
The creators had to make the level in mind for Link.
It would also explain why they left the hookshot there, it would make it easier for people to move around.

Wait, if the Oocca developed the clawshot...doesn't that mean they would have had a hand in making the Lakebed Temple? It is the only other Hookshot seen in the game. If so, the Oocca seem to be building everything...

Re: The Oocca - Engineers of Hyrule.

Some things are just gameplay elements. As for the Oocca I assume that they used to be in this form for ages. If you don´t have hands to craft or to move things, what would you use instead, to make all things what we have seen in the city of the Oocca? The only solution for the lack of hands, is the use of the mind, meaning that they use psychokinesis for their daily use. It may not shown in the game, but their big heads may be indicators for it.
Anyway how could a Oocca craft arrows for example, if they can only use their feets and mouth?

Re: The Oocca - Engineers of Hyrule.

If you say things can be "just" gameplay elements, you shouldn't theorize. Nothing happens for no reason. Maybe Ben will make a THIRD Oocca article and reveal some Lakebed Temple evidence he found.

Similar, but the symbols within the Palace of the Winds looks like it too. A similarity that should not be overlooked.

Re: The Oocca - Engineers of Hyrule.

Fair enough.
I would look at the symbols with a bias view anyway.
But when I was looking around the City, they did stick out to me.

I'm glad you enjoyed the read Smertios.

The symbols within the palace of winds looks like wind symbol because they are blue, the symbols within city in the sky and the panel dialogue looks more like plants. Sorry
