A theory on the Happy Mask Salesman (in Majora's Mask)...

If this theory is true then he must have been the one who killed Elvis.

Also, the skull kid being around for hundreds of years has nothing to do with time flow. Skull kids are twisted kokiri, and kokiri are immortal, so thus the skull kid is immortal.

This implies fairy folk will end up in Kokiri Forest if they get lost in the Lost Woods. Kokiri always have fairies with them. In Kokiri Forest, if the entrance to Hyrule is blocked by a Kokiri and has a sign that says "forest folk shall not leave these woods" and the great deku tree told them they would die if they leave the forest, why aren't the same precautions taken for the entrance to the Lost Woods?

All of this negates the idea that Kokiri become Skull Kids.

The Happy Mask Salesman isn't evil. Like Noodle Cube said, the HMS uses healing magic to help poor souls. If the masks he has are people he sealed inside them, then that means he sealed Mario inside a mask too?

I don't think the HMS has any connections with the tribe that created Majora. He's just a mask salesman that wanders the land looking for different masks and selling them

And rember, only in the manga is the HMS depicted as kind of "evil", wanting to get Majora's Mask back and being stopped by Deity Link. He [HMS] never did that in the game.

Actually, I believe that this is because of the game's art. Everything seems to fit with one another, to resemble the darkness and the bizarre artworks of the game. Or, it has nothing to do with the mask. The HMS might just look better in purple.

How he does feel the masks power and no one else does strikes me. I believe that he may have found it near a place of power so that it gave him the impression that it may something within in.

3: He himself has several powers (materializing/dematerializing objects and himself, knowing the song of healing).

He has an interesting past of knowing such deep and dangerous knowledge in the world of masks, but that may be his hobby or a gift/an obsession of his likings.

I believe that he is a decendant of the tribe that created the mask. Since the tribe sealed Majora inside a mask, I think he sealed people that he met inside the masks that he carries (it would explain why none of them are smiling).

Exactly, the only one who denied it was Mutoh. Everybody else in Clock Town (and in other parts of Termina) knew the moon was falling.
I guess he just stood inside Clock Tower because there was no need in the story for him to come out.

Agree with you. That's just his hobby so he must know much about masks and such. And yes, that'd mean he did more damage than Skull Kid, and that's ridiculous.

i really doubt that HMS has harming powers or atleast nothing close to Majora's Power.

Hm, that makes a lot of sense. It would explain why he said he felt it, because of his heritage he was drawn to the mask so that he could stop the impending doom. Of course, he has to have Link's help, because he's a pansy.

I would like to say that it was unfortunate of Link to bump into him at the time. But it's also saying that if Link never met the HMS, then he would have lived the rest of his life as a Deku Scrub.

i like to think he tried to hurt Link, because he lost control(nervous breakdown) after he realized that the moon was going to fall because Link didn't brought him the MM.

Mask Collector, I don't like it when people jump to conclusions that someone weird would definately have Bipolar. Its just not nice to those who suffer from it or who have loved ones going through a hard time with it.
