Re: The back of Zant's Throne!

The MoT was created after the 'interlopers' were 'chased' out of Hyrule/Sacred Realm.

How they entered the Twilight Realm is unknown, we can assume it was the will of the Godessess.

Then, to ensure that they would not return the Hyrule, the Godessess/Light Spirits created the Mirror, the only connection between the Twilight Realm and the Light world that could be used by the 'mortals'. (Sages, Humans etc.)
This way, the Godessess would not have to interfere with that Realm again, the Sages can deal with it. (Or something like that.)

That seems to me like the best explination.

I will check out Zant's throne later today, I need to see something like this for myself. I still don't think there are Sheikah symbols like so many people have pointed out in the past, but the back of Zant's throne is not a place I have checked.

Edit:

And there you have it, in those Pics, the Symbols are different. Case closed.

Re: The back of Zant's Throne!

Tadah. Sorry for the delay guys/gals (had to go to work)
Anyway, I think the picture (although not very good) shows that the symbol is indeed a variant of the Sheikan eye. The Eye is found at the top of the Throne. The second picture is a sumbol I do not recognise of the top of my head, but it is found vertical from the eye at the bottom of the throne. Both symbols are found on the front and back of the Throne.
The eye seems to have 2 extras 'drops' along the bottom, could this symbolise it's merge with another race?
Sorry for the bad quality but you can still see the symbols.
The first three links are the Eye, that last one is the unknown symbol.

Edit, dam you got there before me. Your are better quality, but mine are closer. Nice banister work I forgot that bit.
And didn't one of the Ancient Sages say that they have guarded the Mirror of Twilight since ancient times. The Gerudo Messa was a holding place fore the prisoner/interlopers who were then imprisoned into the Twilight Realm. The problem I see is, when Link goes into TR, he can easily get back out again, so why couldn't the prisoners.
Also, the Sacred Realm isn't empty, its the complete mirror oposite of the light World, and could also be seen as a side effect of the Goddesses creating Hyrule. The TR was probably always there, a mixture of light and dark, but was only discovered when the Sages were given the Mirro to the Realm.

As you've admitted, not too similar. So to me it simply looks like an eye design the designers put there because eyes are apparently cool.

I seriously doubt they put a known symbol in a newly found (to us it is) realm, merely on a whim. It's like, they don't just put random Hylian on the walls, they can be translated thanks to WW and can be read for a smal purpose.

It's still not the Sheikah symbol. The Sheikah symbol is an eye with a tear. That symbol is the evil eye that is associated with sorcerers like Agahnim and Vaati.

Edit: I ninja'd smallville boy! Good thing I decided not to look for pictures .

Is the same eye symbol in the back of midna's helmet, the same eye symbol of agahim, vaati, i mean the symbol of the dark evil magicians/sourceres, the symbol of that people is only one eye, the sheikah symbol is one eye with a tear, you can see isnt the same symbol.

Aganhim

back of midna's helmet

vaati

The symbol of the proud tribe who serve the royal family.
Sheikah

Isnt the same.

GAME OVER

Hi guys, Remember that symbols change over time, How do wee know that Agnahim wasn't a Sheikah. Also, has anyone discovered where the other symbol comes from, if it does come from anywhere in the first place. It is the last link in my post of pics.

Yes, there are.
There is also no evidence of it being anything other than an execution hall. Not a banishment hall.

Yes, but you don't know how long those Stones have been there and how long that symbol has been on Zant's throne. The Howling stones could even be the Gossip stones, but thats not for here. Also, Veran has an eye symbol on her dress, but it is remarkably different. Althoug She and Onox both has Gerudo symbols on their persons.

Zant doesn't actually wear the Gerudo symbol. The symbol he wears is just similar to it. Also, he wore it before he ever met Ganondorf.

Actually it is a variation of the Gerudo symbol, look at ganondorfs clothes in WW. It also has the swirly version of the gerudo symbol.
GanondorfWW:

Zant:

nevermind the edits in the second pic.XD Just focus on the patterns on this red thing he weares.

Oh and as others have said the eyesymbol is used frequent in Zelda. No Tear, no Sheikah.

Those aren't the same symbols.

If you have to try to see it, it's obviously not the same.
