Ah, I will see if I can find a walkthrough of that section in youtube and read it. Still, I'd like to know, or hear some theories, as to whether the Majora's Mask tribe was of one race or of many races, like the twili are suggested to be.

Of course you can! There are people who have posted walkthroughs for Twilight Princess on YouTube and I'm sure it includes the speech Lanayru gave to Link and Midna. In fact, I remember seeing it, but I don't remember what exactly was said.
