Really? I never got that implication. And I had always thought that the Gerudo King fathered children with the female Gerudo until the next male child was born a hundred years later. Otherwise the Gerudo blood would die out pretty quickly wouldn't it? Oh, come to think of it, I do remember something in OoT that the Gerudo came to town looking for boyfriends or something, right? Maybe just the Gerudo females that weren't lucky enough to score with Ganondorf (
) did that. |

I think the goddesses gave the tree powers when I think it was Naryu who made land and stuff.

Yeah, it's implied that the Gerudo and Hylians interbreed. I'm sure some of the more elite Gerudo 'get busy' with their current king, but yeah...Talk to Talon with the Gerudo Mask on in OoT, he says it looks like Malon's mom.
How that doesn't make the Gerudo bloodline die out over time, I don't know. If Malon's any evidence, maybe only the children who look more like Gerudo than Hylians join the tribe or something. As for the Kokiri, I always imagined the hatched from the Deku Tree's seeds as babies like it was an egg or something, and grew until they were about 10, where they stopped. How that makes Kokiri able to have ancestors (ala Mkar descended from Fado), I dunno. Maybe the Deku Tree mixes physical aspects of two Kokiri to make a new one?

I have a theory that they had a sort of harem society, in which they all breed with the current Gerudo male (Ganondorf) but with him getting sealed in the Sacred Realm, they had to have Hylian mates to survive, resulting in Hylians with red hair like Malon (if you talk to Talon with the Gerudo Mask he says it looks like his wife) and Gerudos with Hylian ears (like Telma) but in the long run their blood line ran thin and they eventually became extinct. And the Kokiri? Well they are immortal, and we never see one die, so I don't think they even need to reproduce if they're around forever.

Just because we don't see them doesn't mean they're extinct, and the same goes for the Gerudo. They simply live in a different part of the forest/desert, a part we can't get to in-game.

True, as we didn't see that much of the Lost Woods in TP. The Gerudo, however are a different story. I'm guessing they either left, have died out, or have inbred with the Hylians for so long that they are no longer a separate race. There is no fortress in Gerudo Valley, not even a remnant of one. The only thing that seems to be left of their civilization in the desert at all is the Arbiter's Grounds, which is heavily suggested to be the Spirit Temple. Although admittedly the inbreeding thing is more likely, as Telma does appear rather Gerudo in appearance, but still has the trademark Hylian long ears.

Perhaps the Kokiri have already turned into the Koroks by TP, and didn't the Deku Tree in WW say something along the lines that they changed into being more plant like because they were shy of humans? I'm pretty sure looking like a tree stump with a leaf pinned to your face makes you hard to see in a place like Faron.

Anyways it was just an idea, and I see your point, but the only question I have is were in PH does it imply that the Gerudo are still around?

I highly doubt it. There is no Deku Tree in the child ending of Oot (assuming that Link still got to Zelda after Ganondorf killed the Deku Tree, as is suggested), and no mention of a sprout (but I guess there could be), so more likely the Kokiri died out without the Deku Tree to protect them. And if a Deku Sprout did grow in the child timeline, it wouldn't have let the Kokiri turn into puppets to be used by Skull Kid like that. Also, remember, we only got a small glimpse of the Lost Woods. If the Kokiri are still around, its more than likely that they were in a hidden part of the forest that we couldn't enter, as OoT makes allusions several times to the fact that people who go into the forest get lost and don't make it to Kokiri Village, assumedly becoming Stalfos in the Lost Woods. So, if the Kokiri are still around in some form another, I highly doubt that we saw them.
