Bongo Bongo

This is more of a question than a theory, but I figured this was the best place to ask. I've read alot of different theories on Bongo Bongo and the shadow temple, but is there really anything cannon about it? Bongo Bongo is my favorite boss in the series, and one of my favorite characters, so I like to know as much about him/it as possible. If anyone could post a theory, or just any answer pertaining to this it would be great.

I guess...we know it was a beast sealed away by Impa to the bottom of the well. But during the time when Ganondorf had control of Hyrule, it escaped.
I dont really think there's much more information about it.

Edit: Zelda Wiki had some interesting information, but I'm not sure if it's true or not. They say that it's possible Bongo Bongo was the man who lived where the well is. I'm not sure...but...

I pretty much want to know anything Bongo Bongo/ Shadow temple related. I think that might be all that is official. I've heard (not sure if this is cannon or not) that he is the "spirit" or something along those lines, that was executed, leaving his severed arms, which are seen clearly on Bongo Bongo, and he decapitation, which may or may not be seen by bongo bongos "eye" like stub on his "neck".

That's what Zelda Wiki said. Personally I'm not sure about that, but it is possible.

Yep that's probly where I read it, don't remember really. Like I said, not sure if that is cannon or not. I actually kinda like that theory, but I would like to hear more if there is any.

Not cannon for sure.

Edit: Sorry, but there's not much about Bongo Bongo known, aside from what Ociri has already stated.

I think that Bongo Bongo is the man who originally owned the Lens Of Truth who's house stood where the Well is. Over time his greed or twisted nature caused him to morph into Bongo Bongo, or he was cursed. I don't know.

Ok, so I'm using the term theory lightly, really not the point. I'll use hypothosis from now on.

A hypothesis is an educated guess used before an experiment, it's your thoughts on what you think the outcome will be.

fine speculation. I asked for any info related to Bongo Bongo/ shadow temple. I've found a few threads about it here, but most were fairly vague, and left stuff unaccounted for. I would like to see one complete theory of the two.

No, from in-game evidence

There is an old man in Kakariko Village who says a man once lived where the well is. The man had "an eye that could see the truth."

Well, since Bongo Bongo takes a humanoid form, but with severed limbs and a severed head, it is possible that Bongo Bongo is that man.
It's a theory.

...I guess so. Unless the lens was the "eye" if that makes sense.

I think so. Bongo bongo was once a shiekah who, for whatever reason, was executed. Thus the severed head/hands.
