A Species erased from time.

So what Am I talking about here? Well whats the least known species in Hyrule? The Keeton. Now what happened to these Pikachu-Ninetails crossbreeds? Perhaps, just perhaps they are what links together Zelda with Pokemon... no I'm Kidding.

Now The Keeton is one of the rarest races to encounter in all of Zelda, why becuase they were only in 1 or 2 zelda games (where they in OoT?), and they were extreamly hard to find.

What significance do the Keeton hold to the world of Zelda? Perhaps they are the race that creates all the magical items found in the temples, perhaps they themselves created most of the temples, or perhaps they (or it) is a cursed Person, or Goddess cast out by Din, Naruu, and Faore.

But what is the significance of a Keeton mask? Majora has a mask (Demon), Oni Link has a mask (Demon), could the Keeton perhaps be demons?

I dont know, but these are just some theroies.

They themselfs were not on OoT but their mask was. In Mm you encounter 2 Keatons, one on Milk Road and the other in North Clock Town.

I doubt they were goddesses or created the magical items or the temples. I think they are just an extreamly rare race that like to quiz poeple. Although maybe they are the ones who made all the puzzles? The people who built the Temples may have consulted Keatons on how to protect their items.

So maybe htey did play a part in creating the temples.

Perhaps, you could be right aboutt he puzzle part, or perhaps the ketons themselves are somewhat theifs themselves and put puzzles in the temples to say "These are ours now, you cant obtain them", or perhaps not... I always thought of it this way and keep in mind this is a total what if thing in hyrule there are goddesses in termina there are deity's like FD the deity of sun majora deit of the moon maybe keton is the deity of knowledge. just a theory thats to dumb to have a thread (not yours mine lol).

Becuase you meet a keeton 2 times in MM, in two differnt locations, and ther is nothing to support that there is 1 keeton, so it is assumed you meet 2 differnt ones.

it could be the guard, if u think, everyhting in MM is basicly an illusion, and link finds alot of familiar poeple so he could think becuase of the masks that the guard became a keeton.

Well Actually, My theory is kinda proven/diproven.

In TMC Keatons are theifs, which means that the keatons could ahve built the puzzles in the temples, to say "We stole your tresures!"

So there not exactly erased in time, though they dont appear in any game int he timeline after MM.

It really does not matter if there is one Keaton in MM or two. Besides there is nothing proving or disproving that their are is one or two keatons in MM. Although I believe their to be more. Also its really not that important to begin with if you see two or just one.

Hmm, I never really wondered about the Keatons... but i suppose there is more to them than we think.
I havn't played MC, but it's interesting to hear they are thieves. Perhaps that bird in MM that takes your stuff is a Keaton pet! (Takuri or whatever.)

When they attack you, you drop Rupees, which they can pick up.

The only thing linking them to the MM Keatons is the name, though. And that both are foxes.

well species in zelda do evolve, so they could have evolved from MC to MM, and gave up there evil ways.
