Is Ganondorf dead?

Is Ganondof finally at long last dead? I think he is simply from the fact that at the end of Twilight Princess the Triforce fades off the back of his hand. Anyone disagree?

He dies and drops the ToP in LoZ.
He gets destroyed by Silver Arrows and Link gets the whole Triforce in aLttP
He loses his ToP and gets stabbed in the head in WW

He'll be back

well...in TP he's probably dead...
But ultimately that's not the case, because he's revived(at least in a split timeline, which i know you dont believe in)

He would have to be revived more times in a linear timeline, because he dies an equal amount of times, but since there is no split, OoT, WW, and TP cannot have all the same Ganon because he dies in two of those games.

Maybe i have it wrong...but i think Wolf believed all the games were in order based on release. but i may be thinking of someone else.

not to mention during OoS/OoA

i know there's many revivals, but what Wolf was asking was if ganondorf is finally dead. if he does believe the games are in order based on release, then technically by his standards he is dead, because PH would be the last game in the timeline, and he's not revived then.

but i see what you're saying. he's revived so much that it's bound to happen again.

No, it's a "character" thing that usually happens to them, much like the Joker, Magneto, ect. Besides, he "survived" other encounters, am I right?
He'll be back. Just like the Terminator. Or Jesus.

He died for sure in WW, TP, LTTP, and LoZ. They try to resurrect him in AoL, but if you win the game this is prevented. In OOX, Twinrova resurrects Ganon by sacrificing themselves. All other resurrections and rebirths are assumed for the sake of filling inconsistencies in timeline theories.

I hope so, i want a new villian.

Ganondorf needs a nice long vacation on a tropical island and let someone else take over for awhile. I mean... how many different ways can you kill Ganondorf? How many times can wee see the same plot idea before we can sit infront of our console and figure it the story before we even press the power button.

We need a new villian with a new goal...

Agreed.

I hope Zant comes back, he was so under-developed and unexplained, but he was so awsome...

Or they can bring back Onox, he was interesting.

If so, then LoZ Ganon would have to be revived for such a timeline to work.

I knew he wasn't, that's why I was so confused as to what he was trying to say.

Ah, yes, thanks for clearing that up.

Depends where you think the Oracles fall. They could go either after ALttP or after LoZ.

But it's true how many ways do you need to kill him? Surely he needs to die for quite some time after TP. I just can't him getting revived X# of times just to fulfill a plot.

Well depending on the timeline you believe, some people think he's already been revived after TP.
He's the main antagonist. How many times has Bowser been 'revived' ?

That was just a random example.
The point is, lots of game series' have a man antagonist who dies/returns numerous times.
Zelda has actually been pretty good at explaining how he comes back [usually] and throwing in other antagonists [like Vaati] along the way.

How Ganondorf comes back in TP is a mystery to me. I mean I know about Zant hating everyone and Ganondorf feeding of that but....before he was locked away?

Well due to the fact that I don't know what timeline you believe in, I can't explain it to you with your timeline.
However, according to Eiji Aonuma, it is the same Ganondorf from the child side of OoT.
