Is Ganondorf dead?

I agree the sky was yellowish everywhere but when they cut to Zant it was sky blue.

We have 2 same blue/greenish tones, zant was flaying over some point of hyrule sky, far away than ganin midna and zelda are, zant still live in the final of TP.

Wonderful. Now please notice the following.

A) That greenish tint is very small compared to the rest of the sky's colour
B) Zant has no way into Hyrule
C) Ganondorf has no need of Zant because Zant was only a pawn. And unless Ganondorf has some sort of super power to resurrect the dead while fighting or while dying Zant is simply a ghost or a spirit.

1) Doesn't matter. First, the sky is all yellow-white-ish. Then Zant appears and his background is blue-ish, then it goes back to Hyrule field and the sky is still yellow-white-ish. The sky doesn't change color until later on. And you can clearly see the same parts of the sky. So unless Zant is looking down on them from the future... no.

2) The colors match, except the one behind Zant is much stronger than in Hyrule... also, they're only the same in a very small area. For Zant to have a background of only that color, he'd have to be ridiculously high up in the air. And usually, those places are quite windy.

So now what, are you suggesting that Zant is flying really high up, uses his magic to eliminate winds and is looking down on Ganondorf from the future?

Epic fail right there. Ganon as I already pointed out has no use for Zant. Want a reason? Zant failed once and he will fail again. Furthermore it would be a waste of time fullfilling a false promise. Ganondorf promised that he would ressurrect Zant so that Zant would be easier to munipulate. Also Hombre is right.

The fact that Zant is flying somewhere in the future is utterly ridiculous!

No. Zant is dead. Ganondorf didn't give a damn about him once free, and Ganondorf never said that he'd revive Zant. There wasn't even a real bond between them; Ganondorf just gave Zant some power.

Zant is a spirit in another realm. He is not in Hyrule Field, especially considering that the bluish tint in the Light Spirits picture only existed after the Light Spirits showed up. They showed up after Ganondorf died.

The thought of him flying in the future. Not the fact :XD

I also believe that Ganondorf and Zant had a symbiotic relationship. When we see Ganondorf in the Twilight Realm, he is without his normal form and is a floating spirit of some sort. He gives Zant more power to take over the Twili, as Zant says, and Zant in turn teaches him how to wield the Twilight, giving him form once again. If Ganondorf needs Zant to maintain his form, Ganondorf would revive him. However, Zant believed Ganondorf to be a god. It seems to me that Zant, upon realizing that Ganondorf wasn't a god, since he was defeated by Link, decides to sever their connection, since he doesn't need Ganondorf to stay alive anymore, having been resurrected already.

But that scene is probably purposefully vague. Nintendo will decide what they want it to mean at a later date.

Zant wouldn't be resurrected. There would be no point, Ganondorf wanted his way, got his way (until Link killed him) and said screw you Zant.

Are you kidding us? So Zant was resurrected by Ganondorf, and somehow went flying in the sky, although we arent shown or told any of it?

They were obviously connected, a bond not limited to the realms of the living. We could assume that Ganondorf prhaps would revive Zant had he defeated Link. Or maybe not, what do I know? The whole cut-scene is pretty mysterious, we don't know how Zant was possible to do that thing, or how much damage it would do to Ganon without ToP (probably close to none).

Ganondorf probably IS dead but they will probably bring him back in the future Zelda games. Because face it,The Legend of Zelda ISN'T The Legend of Zelda without ALL of the triforce bearers. Or maybe someone else will take Ganondorfs place as the holder of the Triforce of Power. But really I think they'll bring him back....hopefully.

O he'll be back. Sometimes I wish he would just die just for a change of pace.
