The Gerudos Worship Din

In Oot hen you first arrive in at Desert Collosus we see a giant carving in the mountain. This possibly be Din.

During Oot Ganondorf obtains the ToP which is Din's piece. We can also look at the Gerudo desert. It's the earthiest area. Din was the one who formed the Earth. The essence of Din is also like the relation of Allah to God. Tey are both the same yet they have different name. They might not name her Din but something else. There is also the fact that Gerudos are very powerful such as Ganondorf without the ToP. He's still powerful before that.

It cant really be certain that the statue is of Din, but i am entitled to believe that the Gerudo's would worship Din out of the three godesses. Ganondorf their King was 'blessed' with the triforce of power so it would make sense that Gerudo's worship Din.

I don't know if I believe this for sure or not, but it's a very possible concept.

Ganondorf never had the ToC. I think you mean ToP.

Anyways, this is a good point. I always held a belief that the goddesses are bieng represented in different ways all over hyrule.

I assume you mean Triforce of Power, but yeah. The only three races I think we can know for sure worship a particular Goddess are the Kokiri (since they have the Emerald and so are probably likely to relate the forest with Farore), the Zora (since they have the Sapphire and may relate the river/lake/sea with Nayru), and Gorons (who have the Ruby and may relate their volcano and rocks to Din).

Yes, he is, Allah though orginally the name of the cheif Bedouin God was used for the name of the Abrahamic God, after the rise of Islam. As for the theory it definately makes sense.

It depends on your viewpoint. If I'm not mistaken, Mohammed claimed that he was receiving a new revelation from the same God of the Old Testament. Whether or not he's correct is a subject for I:SB

And the maker of this thread is saying their's a similar correlation to Din-Goddess of the Sands.
Goddess of the Sands is their 'version' or representation of Din.

It seems like this is based on the assumptions that the gerudo built the colossus, and that the gerudo worship (or once worshiped) at the colossus. So far, the only gerudo we saw there, was Nabooru, who was there to loot the place. Granted the statue resembles a gerudo. but then again, there are limits to OOT's graphics. Is there some dialog to connect them to the colossus?

Well the fact that it is a 'temple' implies worship, or some sort of honor to a deity.
The Gerudo's are the only race nearby, so the logical jump is that they at some time or another used it to worship.
It cannot be proven, but it is logical.

I'd say Death Mountain is earthier than Gerudo Desert. Gorons are also more powerful than Gerudos and a Volcano is more powerful than a desert. I wouldn't consider the Gerudo desert the ultimate place to worship Din, but it's still possible, no doubt.

Well I should think the Gerudos would want to BECOME more powerful, doesn't necessarily mean that they are.

Obviolsy the giant carvin is "the dessert collosus" the woman of the carving is the same woman(giant statue) that we can see inside the spirit temple, and also should be the same woman (gigant statue in the mirror chamber) in TP.
The question: the woman is DIN? i dont believe it

Din is linked with Fire and with the Goron race and death mountain, the gorons are the protectors of the Goron zaphire, and in ww Dins pearl is in dragon roost island(death mountain). Darunia(goron) is the fire sage.
we know too that nayru is linked with the zora race and Farore with the Kokiri race.

I have 2 good ideas to know who is the dessert colossus(the woman of the carving and the statues)

1.-The gerudo in OOT really rule the spirit temple, we see Nabouru inside the temple, and we know that the spirit temple in OOT is the home of Koume&Kotake.
The statue maybe is the representation Of Twinorva(koume&kotake), or the representation of the gerudo Race, like a female representation,we know that the gerudo are only women and they have only one men.

2nd.-The principal propuse of the spirit temple is guard the spirit medallion and be the home of the ancient spirit sage. maybe the original ancient spirit sage was a woman.

^ I really like the second one.

Though the spiritual stones don't really prove much, as they were issued to people by the king of Hyrule, not by any deities. Either it was the king or the ancient sages. Or both.

i guess this theory is possible, but i'm not sure why many people believe certain tribes have to only worship one of the goddesses. i've heard people say "the zoras worship nayru", and "the kokiri worship farore."

while that seems likely, it doesnt make sense to me. it seems everyone knows that the goddesses created hyrule, so wouldn't everyone ultimately worship all 3 of them? why would they only worship 1 goddess?
i mean, why would the zoras only worship nayru? just because nayru is blue, and the zoras are blue? because nayru is associated with water?

that makes sense, but why would they not worship the other 2?

my whole point is, i dont agree with this theory. i think that statue is just a normal statue. if it is a diety of some sort, it's not one of the 3 goddesses.

Seeing as nobody really objects to this suggestion, I'll just remind everyone that the gerudos are the least magical race, with the least pointy ears, and hence, the least powerful. Ganondorf is, of course, an exception.

The pointy ears just reference their connection to the goddesses, not their power/magic.
Consider Twinrova.

Oh I'd say it's quite the oposite, at least we see some of the Gerudo preforming magic. Hylians and Sheikah are just said to be gifted with magic, and I'm sure they are, but have we ever seen Sheikah magic? Have we seen Hylian magic? I'm not talking about magic items, I'm talking about wizzardy spells and the like.

Anyway, I think it's possible that the collossus represents Din, but we may never know it could also be a special deity to the Gerudo, someone representing the strength and independance of a woman, similar to Lilith.
And just because the Gorons worship Din that does not mean that the Gerudos can not worship her.
Think about the Sheikah, their ultimat goal is truth and wisdom. Wouldn't you excpect them to worship Nayru, but wait the Zoras allready do that.
The Kokiri, Zora and Gorons worshipping one of the golden goddesses is by the way far from proven.

What we can be relativly sure about is that the Desert collossus and the spirit temple are linked to the Gerudo.
The treasures found there carry the Gerudo insignia and the statue clearly features Gerudo fashion and jewelery.

On a side note: The Goddesse depictions in Arbiters ground most likley represent the same goddesse, since they feature the same snake attributes.
It should be noted that the statues in the Arbiters Ground carry flames in their hands. Another hint towards Din? Who knows...
