Old Kakariko VS New Kakariko

I really don't come to ZU that often anymore, so forgive me if I'm a bit behind on information that's commonly taken as fact here, but...

It is commonly accepted that the Hidden Village from TP is Kakariko from OoT, and the village in TP is a newer town called Kakariko. This is because of some Hylian writing on a sign stating. "Welcome to Old Kakariko." I, personally, would be willing to believe this if not for the 'new' Kakariko's location relative to Death Mountain and the nearby graveyard.

So, I came up with an idea. Is it not possible that the village called Kakariko in TP is the same as the one in OoT, and the Hidden Village is, in fact, an even older Kakariko, the original one, the one that was home to the Sheikah? Something perhaps sent them out and they built the newer Kakariko, the one in OoT and TP. I know Impaz is said to be the descendent of the one who built the village (Impa), but if we are to go by this theory, it could have been a previous Impa who built the original Kakariko, and not the OoT Impa.

So, questions? Comments?

Re: Old Kakariko VS New Kakariko

I've always believed as you do.

Because of "new Kakariko's" location, I figure it has to be the same village we see in OoT.

There are at least four games with a Kakariko village, and every one of them is different. I think it's just one of those things that can't be reliably tracked.

I agree with you, but, then again, TP had some weird things when it came to locations.

Wasn't Snowhead in Termina and not in Hyrule?

Its pretty obviosly!

-kakariko is next to the death mountain.

-impaz told to us that hidden villague was a hideout of the sheika.

where is the theory, where is the hard thing?
its so easy to know that kakariko from TP is the same kakariko from OOT and hidden villague(old kakariko) is a kakariko oldest than the kakariko from OOT, a kakariko that we don't know in OOT.

Yea, it's not as obviosly! as he thinks. But, his theory is very possible, since TP's Kakariko is the one with the Kakariko Graveyard adjacent, and it lies east of Hyrule Field rather than northeast of it, and lies at the foot of Death Mountain Trail while the Hidden Village is not on the trail at all. On the other hand, Hidden Village's location makes more sense with respect to Zora's River, and the Impa-Impaz link could be referring to the Impa from OoT, who was known to have lived in and built up OoT's Kakariko. What do you think GoT? I'm not really sure either way

Re: Old Kakariko VS New Kakariko

I'm have made a topic where this was brought up as well:

Quote:

As we know, OoT Kakariko Village once was a town where only the Sheikah were supposed to live. After a certain time(after the great war?), all people were allowed to live there. Impa was the seemingly last remaining Sheikah, so she stayed in the village.
Maybe, she wasn't the last of the Sheikah. Maybe there were other survivors, who gathered in a new, Kakariko, but in the old 'Sheikah-only' tradition, hence the name 'Old Kakariko', and it was hidden to make sure no one knew about it's location, so the Sheikah would have a stragetic advantage, hence the name 'Hidden Village'
The Kakariko in TP is just a new version of the OoT Kakariko.
And the two graveyards both have royal tombs at their far end, and when I think about it: in OoT the royal tomb is opened by Zelda's Lullaby, and Zora's Domain is opened this way as well. In TP, the royal tomb is Zora.
But that's coincedence, I'm sure.

Has no one look at the Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time maps - and compare them? Old Kakariko is the Ocarina of Time Kakariko Village but, when examining both maps, you will notice that Hyrule Castle and its town moved south to around where Lon-Lon Ranch was, leaving the village behind to fall into dispair. And the original Death Mountain shows signs of erruption, explaing why the castle and town moved south; the originals were destroyed and not safe.

The new Death Mountain is located south-east when you compare to maps and can't be accessed during Ocarina of Time. That also explains why only the Goron elders know of where Hidden Village was located: because they used to live in the mountain near it before an erruption caused civilization to move further down south of Hyrule and find new land (Peak, Faron, and Ordona are all new land that was founded after Ocarina of Time and before Twilight Princess).
