Something interesting
It would seem most Zelda games portray Hyrule as a country boarded by water.
Zelda games that have the map showing Hyrule as an island: LA (okay, it's in Kolohint, but it shows a very big sea )OoX (I haven't played either and I know it's not hyrule...can someone clarify if the lands you visit in the Oracles are islands?) TWW (well duh, the Great Sea )PH (Duh) TMC (when you're in the sky it very clearly shows Hyrule as a island nation in a big ocean) FSA (The map) FS (I haven't played it, would like clarifaction) So that's EIGHT Zelda games that show Hyrule as an island...interesting. Here are the Zelda games that show an ocean bordering Hyrule, but not nessecarily as a island. The Legend of Zelda (very easy to spot in the southeast of the map) Adventure of Link (gameplay, various concept art show it as having ocean on one side and possibly on the other) Majora's Mask (okay okay, don't count...) Only 3. But still. That makes 11 Zelda games that show the sea/ocean in some matter! ![]() And as for the Zelda games that do not show the sea/ocean at all...only 3. Ocarina of Time (everything in the game seems to indicate it as a fully inland country) A Link to the Past (clouds obscure what's past the boundaries of the game...NOTE: FSA Hyrule is very similar to ALttP Hyrule, and so from that it can be assumed that ALttP Hyrule actually is surrounded by sea) Twilight Princess (see Ocarina of Time) So that's 3 Zelda games that show no sea, and but we can assume that's ALttP Hyrule is in fact sounded by sea. So...from this I gather that the majority of the games take place in the adult timeline. Makes sense, right? Sometime after TWW/PH, the big land mass of Hyrule is found/made by the Deku Tree, but is still surrounded by a huge ocean. Ocarina of Time obviously takes place in a very inland area and world with little water (possibly oceans but only covering around half the planet or so) but Hyrule is flooded after OoT in the adult timeline...(y'know, creating the Great Sea?) Also, the only other Hyrule not surrounded by water is Twilight Princess Hyrule. This takes place in the child timeline where Hyrule is not flooded...which makes sense. What do you think of my theory? I think it's good evidence supporting the majority of the games being in the adult timeline ![]()

Re: Something interesting
^ It's a nice piece of evidence, yes. Presence of Force Gems in PH could also support evidence for a connection with the FS saga. You'd have to come up with a good explanation as to how the Master Sword was put in the woods of ALttP, though ;-)

Re: Something interesting
This is something I haven't even thought to notice, but it makes a lot of sense, it even fits perfectly into my timeline theory. Though technically only 3 games show actual Hyrule as being an island nation (4 if you count PH) All 3 (4) of these games take place in the second timeline in my theory, with all of the other games taking place in the first. It is also interesting to note that all 3 (4) of those games feature the cartoony art style.
I don't include FS because here is it's map ![]() Thought if it is supposed to take place in the same era as FSA, then it should be surrounded by ocean as well, but I don't really even consider FS to be it's own game (that's not to say I didn't like it, I LOVED FS. It's just that it and FSA share almost the exact same storyline, so FS seems more like a prototype for the real thing... please don't hurt me!)

But it's like saying half of the spider-man cartoons aren't canonical, just because they're so similar to the other episode with the same bad guy that happens to be more epic. Spider-man cartoons are awesome, by the way.

??....Yes. He did.Yeah, FS is canon, I cannot deny that, considering it says so at the beginning of FSA, and if I was to place it in my Timeline, it wouldn't be hard (duh). I just don't like to for some reason... even I have parts of me that I don't understand ![]()
