Re: termania and the graet sea

Sorry no.
MM happens after OoT in the child timeline. It's called Great bay just so you know. There's a theory that maby termina was an island in the great sea. This may be true but It's not near WW link and is not the same as WW link.

EDIT: Looks like Lillia beat me to the Great bay thing.
Here's a link if you want to read it http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/zelda-theorizing/68003-termina-does-have-alternate-dimension.html

you do realise that OoT Link is long gone, and that WW & OoT happen a long time apart, right?

Re: termania and the graet sea

Yeah,they are different people-WW Link had a grandma and sister ,he lived on an island whereas OoT Link lived in Kokiri forest plus he didnt really have any family there.
Im not very good at theorizing but Im pretty sure OoT Link and WW Link are two different people in diferent periods of time and OoT and MM mask were set before WW.

And what do you mean by the first bit,"What if it was the great bay to the great sea" ?

Re: termania and the graet sea

If there's a bay, there has to be a sea

Anyway Lillia, your're right about what you say, OoT Link and WW are totally different, they're not even related, however WW Link is the Hero of Time reborn. However, this doesn't mean they have the same body or memories, or even the same personality, but the same spirit.

Oh, and Majoras Mask takes place in the Child Timeline, so it really doesn't take place before Wind Waker in that sense, but... you're still right termina is a parallell universe to Hyrule, so it can't be the same sea, even if the two games were to occur at the same time.

Although, there are the references made to Majora in Wind Waker (particularly during the "Legend of the Fairy" sequence).

But in light of Eiji Aonuma's most recent pronouncements, it's very difficult to fit the Child Timeline version of MM into the Adult Timeline, unless some alternate version of Majora's story somehow managed to emerge in the Wind Waker timetrack.

Wish Nintendo would address this whole issue once and for all.

Re: termania and the graet sea

MM Link = OoT Link

MM = Child timeline

TWW = Adult timeline

TWW = After OoT

You do the math.

1. The "Seal War/Imprisoning War" mentioned in the manual, which I believe to refer to the events of OoT;

We had a big discussion about this (when Superganny was around, for those who remember him) and some of us agreed that the only person who'd write such glorious descriptions of Tingle must be... well, Tingle himself. And in his new game, Tingle has the ability to dimension warp. So, in theory, Tingle could've warped to the Tower of the Gods in the adult timeline and written his own story.
Or we could just ignore it's importance and call it an easter egg. whatever makes your clock tick

Re: termania and the graet sea

The link between hyrule and Termina probably was destroyed during the flood. It was a parallel world to Hyrule so I don't believe it could have been some off set Island

Also, the very first time you encounter references to Majora's Mask in Wind Waker, it's from the Great Deku Tree (after you rescue the Korok, what's-his-face).

It's basically a run-down of the Hero of Time's adventures in Termina, which -- assuming it's Child Link they're talking about -- presents a few might discrepancies with the two timelines, but it might've been that "alternate" version of the same game, just in the Adult Timeline.

That's very unlikely as the flood occurs in the Adult Timeline whereas The Link that went to Termina is in the Child Timeline.
