Re: the end theory

There's no reason for Zelda to die just because Myamoto does. Or Aounoma. In fact, new people in charge could breathe new life into Zelda, as it could breathe new life into any series. New ideas will turn into new games, and the series will hopefully thrive on it.

At least middle aged. Why? How old is he, and what is the average lifespan for a Japanese man?

Re: the end theory

I just hope that aunonumas or miyomtos replacements aren't retards or we are gonna have some really dumb stuff.
Here is a partial list of people who shouldn't write stuff for Zelda, enjoy:

Stephen King

RK Rowly (or whoever writes harry potter, can't remember the name)

Micheal Chrichton I abosultly love his books, but his idia of zelda whould basically be alot of scientific mumbo jumbo and swearing

Whoever writes Babyalon 5's plotlines

Edger Alan Poe: there would probly be a minigame where you see how many times you can cut your wrist within the timelimit

Charles Dickens: he would spend the entire game contrasting the rich Windfall guy in WW and the guy in Castle town saying "sell me junk with C"

Yoda: Can you imagin the dialogue? Midna: Be good wolf you must, help me find fused shadows you will. Ganon: Resonating, my triforce of power is, found zelda I have. Tingle: Decipher charts I will, but 398 rupees you must pay.

Porky Pig: Link, must find the triforce of co cour co cour co, the glowing triagle thing

You have got to be kidding. It's J.K. Rowling! For Pete's sake, she only went from being poor to richer than the Queen of England (last time I checked, if there are any British ZUers out there, feel free to correct me) with the Harry Potter books.

And why exactly would that be bad? Are you afraid she will use the magic meter to make Link a wizard, or something.

I am sure people will take over for Miyamoto and Aonuma, but I doubt they will die anytime soon.

Actually, I asked the creator of the topic, since he said that "the creator is getting really old"... maybe I should've quoted that.

He's about 55, and the average lifespan for japanese man is 81, last I checked. And to be honest, 55 is far from "really old" and since Miyamoto is an office worker (of sort), he should be able to work for Nintendo another 10 years or so before retirement. I honestly don't think he'll stop there, the man loves what he's doing. Anyhow, that's plenty of Zelda games before he quits.

Re: the end theory

Matter of fact, the whole point of Miyamoto bringing Aonuma onboard as his protegé was to provide another hand at the tiller, a successor to take over the franchise when he ultimately decides to call it a day at Nintendo.

And so on, ad infinitum -- Aonuma can then hand off the reins to whomever he decides is most appropriate, to boot.

And most folks were plenty satisfied with Aonuma's work on The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, which is proof right there that Miyamoto doesn't need to be intimately involved in each new Zelda game for the series to thrive in the future.

I totally hated the books, and seeing how I hated the books, it understandable that I can't remember who wrote them.
To me the story seemed range from over stareotypical to badly cunstructed. The movies did a better job, but they still aren't something I'd stand outside the theater for a midnight opening for.

If he retire at 65 he'll be the youngest Japanese pensionist.

Re: the end theory

Even if Miyamoto was to die, Zelda will be continued. Nintendo is a corporation.
