Lightbulb Subrosia: Mirror Holodrum? (Beware of Spoilers)!

In Oos, you travel through the land of Subrosia. But you may notice that many things are similar to Holodrum. Such as:
  • The mountains to the north.
  • Were Onox's castle is, you find the 8th level.
  • The beaches to the south.
  • The temple is around the location of the temple ruins.
So my idea is that Subrosia is a land-mirror of Holodrum, like Termina is a "people-mirror" of Hyrule. How does it sound?

Nope. Subrosia is beneath Holundrum.

Re: Subrosia: Mirror Holodrum? (Beware of Spoilers)!

I think he means Labrynna and Holodrum...

Either way, I don't think there's enough evidence to base this on, but you never know. I personally think the two places are just two different lands on the planet of Hyrule.

Re: Subrosia: Mirror Holodrum? (Beware of Spoilers)!

Nope, he definitely means Subrosia and Holodrum.
And the one is definitely underneath the other, hence the Temple of Seasons sinking into Subrosia, and the same with the crashed pirate ship.

No, he's talking about Subrosia and Holodrum, for sure. And Subrosia is just underneath Holodrum. That's why the temple is where the temple ruins are, because it sunk underneath the ground. As for the beach, the eighth dungeon, and the mountains, I don't know.

Thumbs up

I don't think that Subrosia being under Holodrum is evidence against my theory. it could go either way.

Well in that case if you're wondering why they have the same characters it's because it's a set. So you can play one game before the other etc.

People know about the other lands (Holundrum and Labrinia) therefore it can't be a mirror world like Termina and Hyrule because in MM people didn't know about Hyrule.

Hence ...

Labrinia and Holundrum =/= Alternate worlds.

Interesting I didn't know it had that many similarties. Possibly it is a mirror underground world or something.

Re: Subrosia: Mirror Holodrum? (Beware of Spoilers)!

Possibly it being under Holodrum is why the Geography is similar, the mountains in Holodrum come from Subrosia or have similar origins or something.

Re: Subrosia: Mirror Holodrum? (Beware of Spoilers)!

If you want to talk about real mirror versions (and I'm not talking about parallel worlds/dimentions), just take a look at the map and dungeon bosses of LoZ and OoS.

When it comes to bosses, OoA has all the bosses LoZ has (with the exception of Ganon) plus Mothula, the mini-bosses Vire & Moblin King, and General Onox. Though they may appear in a different order according to the dungeons you're suppose to go through, that isn't important.

Map wise, they are pretty much identical. They both have:
  • Mountains to the North
  • A Graveyard in the West
  • A Beach in the South East
  • A Desert (though not in the same general location)
  • A Lake/river with two islands in it
  • The First Dungeon is Located inside a tree.
  • The Second Dungeon is Located East of the First Dungeon
  • A "Lost Woods"

No, he means that Onox was one of the bosses that weren't in LOZ, but in OOS.

Why would you think Subrosia was a mirror Holodrum? Why not the other way 'round?

The mountains are to the north in pretty much every Zelda game

Actually, presuming the temple sinks directly downwards, then the two buildings are pretty far apart

Same as in LA and OoA
Quote:

Yes, because the temple sinks below the ground.

It could be a mirror of Holodrum, but I noticed, tha Subrosia is smaller than Holodrum.

AHA!!! I thought someone would catch on!!! Look, what if Subrosia was on land, but the gods sunk it for reasons best known to themselves, & build a replica on top of it, naming it Holodrum? & the people of Subrosia...The Gods cursed them, forcing them to wear those ridiculous cloaks? Savvy???.....

Well that could be true because in ALTTP Hyrule is under Hyrule or whatever name the light world is.But the Light world is slightly smaller than the dark so it could be the same thing.
