The Hyrulean Royal Family
Using just the Royal Hyrulean Family, their bloodline, Zelda’s responsibilities, and the state of the triforce relative to the royal family…
LoZ: State of the King No King Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family none Evident bloodline no mention Zelda Zelda oversees, evidently, the finding of a hero to bring the triforce back together. Link’s relationship to the royal family Link receives a note from Zelda State of the Triforce the royal family had power and wisdom, and then Ganon stole both State of Hyrule Castle No castle AoL backstory State of the King King of Hyrule, has no one to give the triforce to Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family Prince hires a magician, a magician who comes out of his shadow, much like the twili. Evident bloodline King of Hyrule casts a spell on the triforce. Most likely Hylean because of high amount of magic use. Zelda Zelda is enchanted with sleep. Link’s relationship to No Link State of the Triforce In the King’s posession, but there is a record of trouble among the royal family King of Hyrule has no one to give the triforce to King hides part of the triforce State of Hyrule Castle No mention AoL State of the King No King Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family Impaz is a protector of the Royal family, especially Zelda. If Impaz is a family surname, then she could be a member of the Shiekah Evident bloodline No mention Zelda One Zelda stays south, and the other is asleep till the end. Link’s relationship to Link is involved with helping to rebuild the kingdom, because of his relationship with Impaz, and Impaz’ knowledge of the triforce, Impaz’s family seems to be in the stewardship position, perhaps in the absence of a king. State of the Triforce Wisdom and Power are with the Royal family, Link goes on a quest to find courage. State of Hyrule Castle No Hyrule castle, but many castles exist throughout the land. Sleeping Zelda is in North Castle. AlttP backstory State of the King speaks of Aghanim overthrowing the King Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family Sages help protect the royal family, and seal Ganon in the sacred realm Evident bloodline No mention Zelda She was the daughter of a sage. Link’s relationship to No Link. State of the Triforce In the sacred realm Triforce seems to be forgoten, sacred realm has been sealed to keep ganon from escaping. State of Hyrule Castle Aghanim overthrows Hyrule Castle AlttP State of the King King returns at the end of the game. Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family Link is of the bloodline of the Hylian Knights, an order devoted to the protection of the royal family Evident bloodline Game speaks of the ancient Hylian language ancient Hylian ruins, suggesting the race is dieing/thinning out. Zelda Zelda speaks telepathically with Link, suggesting they are both Hylian. Link’s relationship to Link is of the bloodline of the Hylian Knights, an order devoted to the protection of the royal family State of the Triforce Royal Family receives full triforce. State of Hyrule Castle It exists LA: not important OoT backstory State of the King The fierce war, the king became King Hyrule the first thereafter, it would seem that Hyrule became a surname. Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family Hylian royal gaurd Evident bloodline No mention Zelda No Zelda Link’s relationship to Link is the son of two Hylian knights who fought in the fierce war State of the Triforce Information about the Triforce and the sacred realm are contained in legends and prophecies State of Hyrule Castle Seems to be a fairly new, well furbished and well lived in building OoT: (child ending) State of the King King Hyrule was seen in flashes, and was bowed to by Ganondorf, Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family The Shiekah run an underground campaign to protect the royal family, especially Zelda. Evident bloodline Zelda uses telepathy, and magic. Link is told he is actually Hylian Zelda Zelda is instrumental in bringing the information about Ganondorf to the King Link’s relationship to Link tells the King about Ganon State of the Triforce It is assumed that Ganon was apprehended and the triforce was never touched. State of Hyrule Castle Hyrule castle is replaced by Ganon’s tower, which is destroyed in the adult timeline. OoT (Adult ending) State of the King Was killed or banished in the adult timeline. Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family same Evident bloodline same Zelda Zelda joins the Shiekah, disguises herself for protection. Link’s relationship to Link disappears from the Adult timeline after he is sent back State of the Triforce Ganon touches the triforce and it splits, but then he is destroyed. State of Hyrule Castle Seems to be a fairly new, well furbished and well lived in building MM State of the King No king Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family NA Evident bloodline Hylian Zelda NA Link’s relationship to NA State of the Triforce As Ganon was apprehended and MM falls in the child timeline, It is assumed that the triforce was never touched It would seem that the ToC was still on Link, even when he went back to his childhood. However, we see the full triforce fly up to heaven (presumably back to the sacred realm) and then also on young Link’s hand thereafter. Whatever the case, it is assumed that the triforce would leave Link when he left Hyrule and await a new bearer. State of Hyrule Castle Never destroyed Oracles of X State of the King No King Mentioned Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family Link is named the ‘guardian of the triforce’ Evident bloodline No mention Zelda Zelda tells Link to go check on the triforce Link’s relationship to At the beginning Link is named the guardian of the triforce, something that should be reserved for the royal family. State of the Triforce Whole and evidently in the possession of the Royal Family State of Hyrule Castle In game, the castle is never called Hyrule Castle, it’s called the palace of the triforce shrine, or something like that. Fourswords State of the King no king Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family None, Evident bloodline No mention, sprites have pointy ears Zelda Zelda gives Link entry to the four sword shrine. Link’s relationship to unkown State of the Triforce No mention of the triforce State of Hyrule Castle It exists The Wind Waker State of the King Daphnes Nohanson Hyrule Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family All precautions are overseen by Daphnes Evident bloodline The king has very short pointy ears The people of Outset Island have round ears Zelda Tetra keeps a piece of the ToW as a necklace she got from her mother. Most likely not the daughter of Daphnes Tetra is of royal blood, and is renamed Zelda, as is the tradition, when it comes time for her to protect the triforce Link’s relationship to Link is unrelated to the Hero of time, or the royal family, or the knights of Hyrule. State of the Triforce Ganon has once again gotten a piece of the triforce (or perhaps kept it from when he was slain in OoT) The triforce of courage has been broken up and hidden all over Hyrule, presumeably by the royal family or by the goddesses Tetra has a piece of the ToW and Daphnes has the rest State of Hyrule Castle At the bottom of the sea. Is destroyed at the end of the game FSA State of the King Vaati takes control of Hyrule Castle Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family Hylian Knights Evident bloodline No mention Zelda Zelda helps Link into the FS shrine Link’s relationship to unkown State of the Triforce No mention(notably, Ganon gains access to the pyramid of power and there gains the dark trident) State of Hyrule Castle Vaati takes control of Hyrule Castle The minish cap backstory State of the King King Gustav, friend of the wind tribe Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family The Minish Evident bloodline No mention Zelda NA Link’s relationship to The Hero of men is garbed in green, he takes the Picorri sword State of the Triforce No mention (notably the triforce is depicted all over the place in artwork) A Light force, a creation, or the providence of the minish is depicted instead of the triforce State of Hyrule Castle It exists The minish cap State of the King King Daltus Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family Hylian Knights Evident bloodline The Hylian sprites all have pointy ears, yet they call themselves human Zelda Zelda is turned to stone, is saved at the end Link’s relationship to Link and Zelda are childhood friends Link is the son of a blacksmith State of the Triforce No mention (notably the triforce is depicted all over the place in artwork) A Light force, a creation, or the providence of the minish is depicted instead of the triforce State of Hyrule Castle It exists, but looks like a smaller castle Twilight Princess Backstory State of the King No mention (notably, the sages deal with the execution, while it was the King in OoT who learned of Ganondorf’s deeds) the King must be alive and well at the time young Link points to Ganon as a criminal. Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family No mention, though it is mentioned that criminals were sent to Desert Colossus Evident bloodline Hylian Zelda Zelda is overthrown by Zant Link’s relationship to No Link mentioned State of the Triforce Unknown, until the ToP shows up “mysteriously” on Ganon’s hand during his execution State of Hyrule Castle Has gotten a lot bigger since OoT Twilight Princess State of the King No King mentioned, and yet Princess Zelda still calls herself the Princess, but seems to be the ruler of Hyrule (may suggest a Patriarchal order) Protectors/Helpers of the Royal Family The Hylian Guard. The Shiekah live in the hidden town, that has been deserted. It is said that Zelda hid out there when she was younger Hylian knights appear as ghosts, helping the chosen hero on his way Evident bloodline Hylian Zelda Zelda is much older in this game, does not know of Link in the beginning Zelda sits on the throne, with no evidence of a royal family other than her, even in times of prosperity Zelda is very powerfull, and gives Midna both her powers and the power of the triforce for a time. Link’s relationship to Link is a Hylian living among Ordonians in Ordon Village. No relationship to the Royal family but there are prophecies about him among the Twili Link has a ghost of his bloodline teach him the skills of the hero (may be evidence pointing to lineage with the Hero of time, or at least with the Hylian Knights) State of the Triforce Triforce stays in the sacred realm, and yet Ganon, Link, and Zelda still get the mark of the power of the triforce State of Hyrule Castle Seems to show a royal family and castle on the decline. Hyrule Castle is at least partially destroyed at the end of the game (Will be adding Hyrulean Royal Family, Part Duex shortly, that will pull the necessary timeline connections from this evidence) here's another way of looking at it. ![]() Last edited by quick_silver20; 05-12-2007 at 05:07 AM. |

Re: The Hyrulean Royal Family
Part duex:
__________________________________________________ _________ Key: |____| or |-----| shows when something is a thing blank space shows when it is no longer. example: Castle exists........castle stops existing....Castle rebuilt |______________________|.(blank space...|____________| __________________________________________________ _________ the old UWM timeline: ![]() Pros: The triforce story is imaculate, as well as the placement of the royal family, when there is a king and when the king dies, and doesn't come back for a while. TP is the major bump there, however, as the king disapears from OoT, but then is alive and well in tWW. Cons: with the UWM theory, there are plot holes from one side to the other. The castle is destroyed, disapears for half the series and magically comes back and is prominent again, and then disapears entirely. The 'royal gaurd' is messed the heck up too, the knights and the shiekah are definately not around/not important enough to be mentioned and very well may have died off amidst the flood, but then they magically come back, and then one replaces the other. __________________________________________________ ______________ Daphne's timeline: ![]() Pros: Daphne's timeline rolls through this scrutiny surprizingly well. the King line is beautifull, with no king from the end OoT to the end of AlttP, and an explaination in AlttP; the king returns. The royal protectors work well too, exept for the hiccup where they seemingly disapear in tWW and then reapear in TMC. The Hylian blood line is imaculate as well, with is pittling out in AlttP, and not resurfacing. An interesting scenario happens in the adult timeline, in tWW, Daphnes takes back the triforce, wishes on it, and then it returns to the sacred realm, and then we never hear about the triforce again in a future game on that timeline. Cons: On both timelines there is a huge hiccup about the castle being destroyed and then resurfacing without explaination, or just the opposite, the castle exists, and then disapears in future titles. __________________________________________________ ____________________ DP's timeline (or, new child timeline) Child: OoT/MM-TP-TMC-FS/FSA-AlttP-LA-LoZ/AoL-OoA/OoS Adult: OoT-tWW/PH Dp's old timeline (also TBK's timeline) Child: TMC-FS-OoT/MM-TP-FS-AlttP/LA-LoZ/AoL-OoA/OoS Adult: TMC-FS-OoT-tWW/PH The new UWM timeline: Child: OoT/MM-TP Adult: OoT/MM-tWW/PH-TMC-FS/FSA-AlttP-OoA/OoS-LA-LoZ/AoL My timeline Child: TMC-FS-OoT/MM-TP Adult: TMC-FS-OoT/MM-tWW/PH-FS-AlttP/LA-LoZ/AoL-OoA/OoS MY BRAIN HURTS, and it's late, will finish later. By the by, we're looking for trends, so when things happen, and then go away, and then pop up again, that's a bad thing. The best timeline will be the one that has the smoothest trends and the least annomolies. These may be confusing, but if you know how to make flow charts for programming, this should be easy Last edited by quick_silver20; 06-09-2007 at 07:45 AM. |

Re: The Hyrulean Royal Family
OMFG!!!
Nice QS ... very nice. Also not all the UWM place their majority of games after TWW. I place mine after TP aswell as HurriPen.

Re: The Hyrulean Royal Family
Here's the Royal family tree I did some time ago. There's nothing special to it. It follows the original (and new) UWM line (with the Oracles placed after LA). Well, at least it's a nice presentation.

Re: The Hyrulean Royal Family
C'est magnifique monsieur quick_silver20
Although what you posted is most definitely not my timeline. Here it is: Child: tMC-FS-OoT/MM-TP-FSA-AlttP-LA-LoZ/AoL-OoA/OoS Adult: tMC-FS-OoT-tWW/PH And I've decided to throw this away if anybody wants to know. No timeline for me at the moment. EDIT: Oh and that is a wonderful way to present the lineage U-M. |

Re: The Hyrulean Royal Family
Child: TMC-FS-OoT/MM-TP-FS-AlttP/LA-LoZ/AoL-OoA/OoS
Adult: TMC-FS-OoT-tWW/PH So what's different TBK? Child: tMC-FS-OoT/MM-TP-FSA-AlttP-LA-LoZ/AoL-OoA/OoS Adult: tMC-FS-OoT-tWW/PH Oops, I put FS twice, or forgot to put an A on the end. other than that, they're exactly the same. As I said, you had the timeline that DP had about two years ago. It probably looked like the title was on the bottom, so it looked like yours was at the top of your name |

Re: The Hyrulean Royal Family
added pros and cons to old UWM and Daphne's timelines.
retouched the flow charts so they're hopefully earsier to read. Sorry this doesn't go faster, it takes about two hours to do one of those... it's a big headache, but I want to eventually have one for every major timeline presented at ZU ![]() Last edited by quick_silver20; 06-09-2007 at 07:46 AM. |
