The Greatest Theory of All Time
(Courtesy of IGN)
Behold, this man, Michael12304, has discovered the ultimate truth behind Miyamoto's legendary works. This is so awesome that the word all needed to be extra-bolded, and is in no way me forgetting titles are bolded. http://boards.ign.com/legend_of_zeld...8772424/p1/156 The truth. You can't refute it.

*small chuckles, turn into uncontrollable laughter*
Very funny. Man, what a theory. It's totally senseless. WOW. :glare

Re: The Greatest Theory of All Time
uhhhhhh.....wow? Don't really know what to say. He was wrong about Link being unable to jump. He can't jump willingly but when you walk off an edge he does. Also, although with the help of an item, he can with the roc's cape (or magic cape or whatever floats your boat). That's all I really have to say. It was good for a laugh and I'm glad he has all that free time to look up charts for his fake theory.

Re: The Greatest Theory of All Time
Dude, you are ignoring the fact that, since he only does this at edges, it is obvious that he is falling like trees should, but falling with style.

Re: The Greatest Theory of All Time
Heh, that was actually quite funny. Nice read.
But how can Link survive when he's burnt? Trees burn easily.

Re: The Greatest Theory of All Time
Well, dry trees burn more easily than wet trees: and with all that drinking and swimming that Link gets up to (not to mention his wet sap), he is hard to completely burn away. But, the fire does get to him eventually, as we have all seen in death.

Re: The Greatest Theory of All Time
It begs the question though...is he a split tree, or a linear tree?

*laughs uncontrolably for 5 mins*
So, the truth of Link's woodiness is reviled...he really is a child of the forest! (You mean, Oot Link, right?)

Re: The Greatest Theory of All Time
Only problem is they give screenshots from TP, and not OOT. But I must admit, he has a lot of patience...
But what about how his tunics change? They just say it's magic, but they also say the green is for photosynthesis. If he's red, he can't do that, or blue. Oh wait...ah, the tunic dies out, then comes back in the spring. Got it.But what about the hearts? Trees don't have 'em.

Re: The Greatest Theory of All Time
How many here actually believe this? Because this is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard. EVER! And that includes everything Peter Griffin has ever said. I mean, there's no much going against it. What evidence is there of Epona being a tree apart from her colour. And how come Link doesn't burn like a tree when he falls in lava. Trees will burn no matter how soggy they are. And the guy mentions the Maple being cut down, but that's human influence, not natural and what usually happens. I don't even know why I'm proving it wrong. Heh.

Re: The Greatest Theory of All Time
OLD.
For goodness' sakes, man. Check the first two pages to see if a thread like this has been posted. We all know Link is a tree! Gracious, we're all felling ignorant today, aren't we? As for Link's hearts, they are basically actually fertilizer. Decaying flesh makes great plant products! Pfft. You guys are silly. Twili Knight - A.K.A. Sahaqiel |
