The Arrogant Timeline Topic

This is my answer to the wave of political correctness that has swept the boards (and manifested itself as the Bombers, lol). In this topic, you can debate whatever you want, but with three rules.

1) You must debate your timeline theories as if they were 100% FACT! WE WILL HAVE NO DANGLING POSSIBILITIES HERE!!

2) Please constuct your argument with some seriousness. Don't degrade yourself to simple "Lolz! You're wrong!" responses.

3) Please respect the political correctness outside of this forum (You'll make Lex cranky. See below).

If different arguments get tangled up with each other, you are free to make a new topic dedicated to one argument, but make sure you have the [ARROGANT] tag in your topic title.

I'm a bit busy to get the ball rolling this time, but I will be happy to debate with other arguments. Here are some example topics for you to get started with:

1) Placement of ALTTP; after TP or TWW?
2) Placement of the FS games.
3) WTF happened in Twilight Princess?

3...2...1...GO!!!

Political correctness is marked by progressiveness. Saying people don't have to construct fan timelines following the established facts for the official one is hardly progressive; it's simply regurgitating a fact. Please find a better term with which you'd like to describe the zeal that people should be able to *gasp* be able to formulate their own opinions about a video game series' storyline without being told what they have to or should believe.

Political correctness is progressive, but not everyone agrees that it is wholly beneficial in every way. I will not tell people what to think or say about the timeline, but I am absolutely bored of the current topics that are up on ZU. If I am the only one, I will close this topic. Otherwise, this topic is a recluse for the veterans who don't want to watch their language.

Mass mud fights are fun but we are now in an era where we are awaiting the official response of Nintendo (Which will most probably come shortly after PH) so political correctness is a logical step in the process.
Take the post about the linear theory in the Bombers forum. Although both ASE and UWM believe in a split no one will go around proving LD wrong about his theory by flaming him. It is and stays a discussion. And that is the most civilized and most reasonable way to solve things.

Meh. Vets can discuss whatever wherever. I just don't think there's any reason to flock to the new theorists who don't appear to have much interest in developer quotes and tell them their timelines are all wrong, because interest in finding the official timeline is what has eaten away at the fun factor on this particular part of the forum, IMO. Let them have fun without making it a goddamn religion. It's that attitude that ruins certain people who shall remain nameless within my posts.

Lex, you're missing the point of this topic. I don't intend to religiously convert theorists on this board, but I do want to have a goddamn INTERESTING discussion for once. The last time that happened, and I quote from many people here, was with my "theorising about theorising" topic. This topic will not affect the approach to theorising on any other part of this board; it was made purely for the sake of being interesting.

LET'S SEE THE FLARE RETURN TO THEORISING!

Following the example topics:

1. Neither (as opposed to either), since neither makes any concerted effort to make any connections to any future titles, and both leave conditions in the ending that could be tied back to ALttP, with some stretching. Nintendo needs to learn how to construct series storylines.
2. Not first. FS and/or TMC make no strong efforts to impress upon the idea that they even might be first in the timeline. The storyline director in charge of deciding that placement should be fired and replaced.

Well closed minded opinions are what stands in the way of a solution. And as you said you only wanted facts. Lex only gave you facts.

omg zelda universe teh offical zelda site sais taht ganon break free from shadow land and then captred princz zelda here is likn Zelda Universe
therefor i say that loz goes after oot cuz ganondorf was sealed ther in the shadow relm! [/sarcasm]

Uhm now come to think of it... It does say that Ganon broke free from the Dark World... So where does that put LoZ? <.<

I'm sorry, the_Predator, but I don't think you have been here long enough to have experience with the arrogant style, nor do you have an actual interest in the style itself. The Bombers are a better place for you, IMO.
