Deku and Boko Relations

After thinking about it for some time, I think that after the flood, the Deku Scrubs evolved into Boko Scrubs. There hasn't been any such thing, but there are some similarities........Boko Nuts in the Forbidden Woods...Boko Sticks that can be used as torches and need two hands to wield. I however don't know any possible connections with the Deku, and the Bokoblin.

Well, it's obvious Deku Babas became Boko Babas, but I do agree it's certainly possible for the Scrubs to go from Deku to Boko. Except, the games after TWW state otherwise.

As MM show's us, however, they can easily sink. Even if they're hiding in the Forbidden Woods or something, they have to be in New Hyrule for the post-flood games. Maybe, like the Goron, they just fled to the north, New Hyrule. for safety and didn't evolve at all? That is also what some Zora possibly did, though some still became Rito.

Since when do looks matter! In wind Waker the Zoras turn into the bird creatures (I can never rememebr their name) so if a fish can change into a bird I think that a Deku and become a Boko!

Well, looks do matter. Zora do look like Rito. The Rito wings are equal in location to a Zora's fins, and more.

I'm not getting into this discussion right now, I have already argued it before. Anyway, I doubt Deku Scrubs became "Boko Scrubs" They have yet to be shown in a game, and Dekus existed in New Hyrule. Of course, Zora's evolved but still exist in Labbryna. If D. Scrubs went to B. Scrubs, then there are VERY few,.

The big differences between Boko's and Deku's their color arrangement and some structrual differents. Which is about the same as the Rita and the Zora coloration and some strucatural differences other then that similar.

It's very possible they are of the same orgins (deku baba and boko baba)

anythings possible, I mean as I stated in an arguement about Zora's and Rita's the floor hands could be related to the falling hands in aLttP but their really is no evidence either way...

Well, with the color differences, it doesn't matter much since they still keep the same basic structure. If there was actually a sign of the Boko Scrubs existence, this problem wou;d be solved quickly.

but since there are no signs, it is more of an educated guess with backup than a theory. (Of course, there is no real difference) Now, as evident as it is Boko Babas evolved from Deku babas, what of the Scrubs? How many licks does it take to get to the center of one? The world may never know.

Seriously though, if they do exist it's highly unlikely. They probably would be at least nodded to in TWW.

Well, that's what I've been saying. If there was actually some kind of sign of the Deku...or in this case the Boko, they would have shown it. If they did show it, this would be more of a theory than an educated guess.

A change in the name could be just it...Deku and Baba look similar, obviously we already figured that out. It probably is just a change in appearance to make them look better, just like Moblins all look sooo different.

Thank you for agreeing with me. All we need to figure this out is some proof of Boko Scrubs living in the Great Sea. The existence of the Deku/Boko RACE is our Achillies' Heel here.

Heck, for all we know they could be in PH. TWW wasn't the whole Great Sea, after all. I wonder though what they look like, if in existance. I really don't think that would happen. If they were to show Boko Scrubs in PH, they cetainly would give us at least the tiniest glinpse of the Boko Scrubs, rather than the other things with the Deku/Boko prefix.
And as for appearence, they probably would look all colorful like the Deku King, but I'm think they might have the same color scheme as the Boko Babas.

maybe its like tropical flowers compaired to forest ones. The Boko's would get a lot more sun and water because they are on an island, and if you noticed tropical plants are a lot more colorful then their forest family members.

Yes, the new climate would probably affect the appearence of the Deku Scrubs as well as the new enviroment. So rather than being big balls of wood with feet and the top of a bush as hair, they probably would be bright colors like the Boko Babas to adapt to the sun, since in OoT, Deku are always found in dark places. There is proof of the climate afecting color in MM. In the Deku Palace, they are in Termina Field, and not a dark, concealed area. The Termina Deku Scrubs have a brighter, more open-colored wood, a shade of brownish-orange. The colors of the palace also have the same color scheme as the Deku in the palace, and some similarities to TWW. This may be a stupid idea, but it is possible that the Boko Scrubs might have evolved from the Terminian Deku.
