What's your theory on the zelda timeline I have my own here it is:

The United Wise Men's Timeline

1) Ocarina of Time (possible Seal War) / Majora's Mask
2) Twilight Princess (possible Seal War/Great Flood)
3) The Wind Waker / Phantom Hourglass
4) (Great Flood subsides) The Minish Cap
5) Four Swords / Four Swords Adventures (possible Seal War)
6) (possible Seal War) / A Link to the Past / Link's Awakening
7) Oracle of Seasons / Oracle of Ages
8) Legend of Zelda / Adventure of Link

OoT/MM-TP = The Ancient Hyrule Era
TWW/PH = The Lost Era
TMC-FS/FSA = The Resettlement Era
ALttP/LA = The Reawakened Hyrule Era
OoS/OoA-LoZ/AoL = The "Divine Rule" Era

OoT thru TP all take place in Ancient Hyrule, and, so far, are the only titles proven to do so. TWW and PH take place in the Lost Era, and, again, so far, are the only titles to do so. TMC thru FSA all take place in what appears to be a resettled Hyrule. Gradually the place names are reestablished, until we arrive at ALttP... ALttP and LA represent the Reawakened Hyrule era, by which time much of the Ancient Hyrule locales have been "restored", and are once again called, for the most part, by their original names. OoS/OoA thru AoL belong to what we like to call the "Divine Rule era", because they all have evidence that the Triforce was in the possession of the Royal Family, and was used to rule.

I follow the Wise Men's Timeline. You can check out their timeline in the United Wise Men's timeline. You should add FS and FSA, but its up to you. The only thing is FSA and ALttP have very similar geography, so you can put it there with what Vaati does, but it looks good.

Theres one problem with that at the end of the Windwaker they sail to find a new Hyrule
the old one never defloods the rest of the games must take place in the new land they found.

Yes, Tetra and Link to sail off, and most likely called it Hyrule.

The Deku Tree sent the Koroks all to place trees on islands. The roots and them growing would eventually rise up the ancient Hyrule, which is why I believe in ALttP you see ancient buildings. I'm not exactly sure how it defloods, check the sticky at the top of the Timeline subforum to find the counsel. You can look at the first post for all of that.

*edit* Don't say "Na I don't think so" you won't be able to make a timeline if you don't accept stuff.
You should play TWW, the Deku Tree clearly states the thing about Koroks and his dream/goal to revive old Hyrule.

JJAB91 there is a very nice theory, even tho theFS saga sgould be there, I believe you accept and have no problem admiting that it MUST go after TMC now do you?, after that I preety much say it fits.

Also I'd like to hear your explanation about the Oracle series being placed after TMC.

The Oracle series takes place after it by the same Link because about 2 years after the
events of the minish cap Link feels a strange force call him to the Triforce in Hyrule castle,
fearing for the triforce's safety he checks it out and gets sucked in to Holodrum which both
frightens and delights Link at the same timd due to the fact that Link doesnt know how he got here and how he was looking for an adventure.

Here's an experiment I'd recomend:

Picture your timeline theory as it would have looked in 1987, at the release of LoZ
Then in 1988, at the release of AoL
In 1992, with AlttP
etc, etc.

Make sure that the timeline is complete after each game's release, and post your "timeline history"

He's saying to make your timeline not only according to facts within the games, but to literally think outside the box they were packaged in. See that little copyright date on the outside of the box? That's the year the game was made. Try putting them together also based on when they were released and how games of that era should relate to each other.

Basically, at the start, we had games such as ALttP and LoZ that linked together. These days, most of them relate to OoT in some way. Try taking that into consideration.
