The royal family tree

Here's something I put together when I had nothing better to do at work. It's nothing new but I always wanted to do a graphic presentation of the Royal family tree (according to the Wise Men's timeline). Let me know if there is something I missed or forgot. I didn't put much thought into the descriptions of the characters, just what sort of role they played that had some affect to the timeline in general.

Unforunately there wasn't official art avalible for all of the characters so I had to go with the original sprites. Without further ado, here it is. Enjoy!

I may be a little out of the trend in terms of positioning the Sleeping Princess in the timeline, but don't most people agree that those events occurred before OoT and that's where the tradition of naming all of the Princesses Zelda comes from?

You'd think so wouldn't you, but we have to take into account that the AoL manual clearly states that the King who passed away ruled Hyrule with a full triforce. The triforce is used for the first time in OoT. So that makes it quite impossible.

The full triforce could be in the posession of the Royal family after the events of ALttP and it is shown in Hyrule Castle in the intro of the Oracle series. That would suggest that the Sleeping princess business takes place during that time.

All the Sleeping Princess legend states is the every Hyrule princess after is called Zelda. However, it is very possible that the princesses of destiny before her are also named Zelda; that doesn't contradict events.

Royal families also tend to reuse the same names a lot. For example King Louis XIV (the 14th) was the 14th Louis in that particular family. And we all know that the LOZ universe has its roots in european history. So there's no contradiction.

That's a very good point indeed, and that shows how out of the loop in terms of timeline I really am.

I notice all the kings are wearing red except for ALttP king...Hum?
