I know that of course. But why do we need an in universe reason? If the real world reason is important enough, it defys the importance of an in universe reason even when a contradiction could be made of it. Ex: Character introduction

Because in the universe, these people are real. They have lives.
People like discussing in universe topics; ie the Timeline.

Like I said, I know that. And I think it's great to find in-universe reasons, but in this one case I believe there is no true reason in-universe due to the large amount of contradiction and speculation needed. It was simply a development fallacy that could have been solved by introducing Zelda less directly like in every other game. I for one love timeline theorizing, especially pre-HH. So I know exactly what you mean.

Okay, I get what you mean now.

You could also have her introduced by someone else who doesn't know they know each other to avoid this issue.

Yeah. Because we know that OoX coming after ALttP is canon, so they should logically be the same Zelda and Link. So I don't really see any way that the story could be bent to make the introduction make sense unless high amounts of pure speculation are used (Like memory loss or a second Zelda). Plus, if I remember correctly, Capcom was the primary developer of OoX and maybe they didn't realize that these games would end up after ALttP.

To clarify and put us back on topic: I don't think that there are more than 1 Twilight Mirrors. I also don't think that the Mirror of Darkness and the Mirror of Shadows are the same.

It seems that in Hyrule a common way to enter an alternate realm is via an enchanted mirror; to this end, it seems that a number of mirrors correspond to a number of realms. The Twilight Mirror to the Twilight Realm, the ALttP Mirror to the Sacred Realm (which makes it a VERY powerful artifact), and the Dark Mirror to a Dark Realm.

Given the edited version of TP Ganondorf's speech, its possible that TP Ganondorf created the Trident in the Sacred Pyramid. After all, TP Pig Ganon is one of the only Pig Ganon's without a weapon.

However, I have an alternate theory to address that particular connection. I personally feel that the Zuna's ancestors are a portion of the Interlopers and that they are also responsible for the Trident.

Whichever of the above theories you prefer, both cement a relationship between TP and FSA.
