I agree that names of places and people are translated poorly in the Italian version (mostly because of translator Barbara Pisani which completely ruined
TP), but it's also true that NoA tends to make things up. A good example is the word "Twili". Or the definition "Her Grace"; there's no trace of this title in the Japanese text: Zelda is called instead "The Voice of the Goddess" both in Japanese and in Italian, and as far as I can tell, this does not appear in NoA's translation.
(as for the names such as Calbarico, Geld, Lutera etc...they're just -bad- localization choices, nothing that changes the overall meanings though)
Conclusion: the Euro localization is generally more accurate than the American one. Hylia's Shield.
