SS wall legend

In SS we see that the legend of how Hylia sealed Demise and send Skyloft into the sky. But when we go to the past just after Hylia send Skyloft into the sky the legend is already their. How did that happen? How could the events be recorded so fast and already be fading? And who draw it anyway?

I think the "past" is many years after Demise's sealing, not directly after. The game doesn't outright say, but I think it makes more sense that way.

As for the legend, I think it was more than likely Impa that drew it, since she's the only one there.

Zelda says that it's during a time period when the scars from the war haven't healed, so I think it's somewhere in the first few decades, perhaps even a century after the war.

There are a few things that seem contradictory though:

1. Demise says that he's waited "eons" to return. How is that so if he hasn't been sealed that long?

2. Demise somehow knows about how Zelda slept in the crystal to keep him Imprisoned. He shouldn't know about that because he's been sealed away.

Well the game specifies that the time you go is right after skyloft was sent to the sky. Maybe were Demise was seal time run faster or like Fi said he conqiered time itself. He could have been in the imprisoned in the present and his spul return tp the past before being destroy.

Maybe it took a long time before Skyloft made it to the sky?

I guess you're right. He must have the ability to get information from his future self in Link's time.

But if thats true that means Link's wish in the triforce never came true. Unless a split really happen in SS and one timeline where Link wished to demse to be destroy Link always win and the CT and AT happen and one where he never wishes on the triforce and demise puts the curse on them. Creating further on the DT where the Hylians are cursed to wonder a blood soaked life.

He doesn't say he waited eons to return, he says he waited for eons to get the Triforce. Considering he was probably alive since the dawn of time it's easy to imagine his conquest has lasted for eons and since Hylia is gone he sees it as within his grasp.

That's a good question, but I've a couple of ideas.
1. Demise is able to hyper aware or able in some way to detect Zelda is also in the Temple of Hylia in a crystal.
2. Demise is getting an update from Ghirahim on how he came to be free.

Perhaps its another example of NoA screwing up the translation, I don't know.

That's a good question, but I've a couple of ideas.
1. Demise is able to hyper aware or able in some way to detect Zelda is also in the Temple of Hylia in a crystal.
2. Demise is getting an update from Ghirahim on how he came to be free.

Good ideas. It's probably the latter.

Oh dear, sorry about my screw up on the first point. I could've sworn it was 'I've waited eons for this moment.', I must've been confused by the later line of seeking the Triforce for a millenia.

Though I just realized if Ghirahim is updating Demise it's yet another way for him to know how long he(it?) was, or will be, imprisoned for.

I consider it an indication that Demise experiences time non-linearly. Fi did claim that he had conquered time, after all. Perhaps the purpose of Hylia's seal was to force him to interact with the world in a linear fashion, keeping in him one place at a time and thus unable to escape the pit?

That could be the case, too. I've always thought of Demise as being somewhat of a paradox; I think he's a physical manifestation of an intangible concept, perhaps malice or evil incarnate. If this is the case, then he truly is beyond the limitations of time, because evil always exists.

Even his name suggests that he's more than just a person, but a force.

Adding to that Fi calls Demise an It rather than a He.

I actually wonder if Demise is its real name, we only hear it called that by its opponents because that's what it meant to them. We don't know what Demise refers to itself as, or what his subjects call it apart from master.
