Twilight Princess Link Same as Wind Waker Link?

Of course, both of these heroes are on different timelines. But maybe they are the same Link? If Hyrule wasn't flooded, would he be the Link from Twilight Princess?

Both heroes were pretty much chosen, but Toon Link just didn't have the Hero's Spirit. He made himself a hero, but he was still destined to be one. I'm not sure, it's just something I thought of because they both were the Links who came from generations after the Hero of Time and killed Ganondorf in the AT and CT.

No first their are of different ages and one have family the other not. Just because their are in opposite games in the timelines don't meen their opposite Links.

TP Link is descended directly from OoT Link. WW Link is not. So, no, even if by some ridiculous stretch of the imagination they were parallel to each other, which the rapid advance in technology suggests otherwise, they can't be the same person in different realities.

There is no hint that the Link of Twilight Princess is biologically connected to the Hero of Time. The Shade's referring to Link as, "Son," seems purely due to their differing ages.

I understand what you're saying about the use of the word "son" because Renado calls one of the Ordonian children "son", but I'm pretty sure Hyrule Historia says that the Hero of Time is TP Link's ancestor. I also remember the Hero's Shade saying that they share the same bloodline.

Hyrule Historia:

Hero's Shade:

I'm not sure it matters. It seems the role of the Hero must be fulfilled by destiny, even if the bloodline is lost. In the sense that they both have the spirit of the hero during each of their respective trials, I think it could be safe to say they are parallel.

Never thought about that...maybe...I don't know. Seems unlikely.

I guess you could call them counterparts, but not the same person.

Perhaps you could also say the TP, WW and ALttP Links are counterparts, as well as the FSA, ST and LoZ Links.

LOL, so basically he entered and leaved the hero business the same year (I suppose OoT and MM, from Link's perspective, took place in the same year).

As for the theory, I don't think it is true.

I thought WW took place a long time after TP.

I highly doubt so because every "Link" is just an ordinary person that, for one reason or another, gets tangled in events that result in them becoming heroes and by old tradition, all said heroes are required to wear a green tunic or possibly already did in respect to past heroes. In the Adult Time, if the Twilight Princess incarnation of Link is ever born at all, he most likely just lived an ordinary life because someone else (the Hero of Winds) got tangled in saving the world instead. In most cases, there is nothing already special about anyone who saves ends up Hyrule. In rarer cases, the Golden Goddesses will select someone and hence make them special. For example, the Hero of Twilight (fan name) was chosen specifically to fulfill the task of being a hero, but we don't know why. My theory is that he was chosen because he may have been closely descended from the Hero of Time, making him already special in some way.

Well he was descend from Link. He was known as the Hero chosen by the gods by the way. Actually all the Link have something in common their descended from the knights. It's probable Zelda added to the curse so all would be descendants of the holy knights of skyloft.

It seems like alotta people died when the great sea was formed, as it is sparsely populated. However grandma does say that the sheild in WW was passed down their family line. So its possible.

Bloodlines are only important to reincarnation because of genetic memory/having a similar mind structure to your previous incarnation. If your old house is practically the same you learn your way around faster than if you move into a house thats got a completely different floor plan.
