Master Sword after TP?

Hey everyone. I was thinking more on a fan fiction I'd like to start that takes place hundreds of years after Twilight Princess and the Master Sword plays a big part in it.

However, it got me questioning, what happened to the Master Sword after Twilight Princess? The ending shows the Mirror shattering and Midna disappearing, but Link never really gets around to putting away the sacred blade?

Any thoughts?

No, he does, since we see it back in the pedestal in the end credits.

Like what Link Harkanian said, it's there during the credits.

We just don't actually see Link returning the Master Sword, but it's definitely put to rest again on the pedestal.

And also, Link returned to Ordon, he left the village only to return the MS back to its pedestal.

Everyone thought he left, but he returned, so I think a future Zelda game can take place after TP and give the MS another story.

But seriously, I think, like mentioned before, there can be a game between TP and FSA. There kind of has to be, because Hyrule def. isn't an island during TP. Another Great Flood, maybe? Who knows.

Seems odd though. It would fit better after ST to me, but eh..

Does it also strike anybody as odd as the Master Sword doesn't appear in FSA? I think Nintendo can make a great disaster game set place during TP and FSA.
