Hyrule Historia Complaint and Denial Thread.

People calm down plox, I know some of you are heated up and I can understand it, but there is really nothing to gain.

Just some of the Japanese Manual Translations:

The man's name was Ganondorf, and his common name was Ganon of the race of evil thieves. Indeed, the King of Evil Ganon, the one who has threatened Hyrule so, was born at this time.

From the Seal War Section:

The King of Hyrule called upon the Seven Sages of Hyrule, as well as the Knights to seal the source of this evil. The Triforce itself cannot judge between good and evil. That is because only the gods can do that. However, it could not be assumed that only a good person would get their hands on the Triforce. For that reason, the people of Hyrule were told by the gods to make something that would repulse any evil that may kidnap the Triforce: the blade of evil's bane. It was called the Master Sword, and it is said that only a true hero could use it. The Sages first had to search for the existence of the Master Sword and a hero to use it. However, the situation was urgent, and Ganon's malice was enclosing on the royal palace. Using the most of their powers, the Sages and Knights threw open a heroic battle with the evil one. The Knights had valiantly used their bodies as shields during the fierce attack, and although they unfortunately perished when their strength had exhausted, this had given the Sages time to complete their Seal.

The fact that they had to search for the EXISTENCE of the sword heavily implies that the sword, perhaps centuries before OoT and was something of legend. Even the notes on the page that was linked to states this in their analysis of the translations and Japanese text. You're ignoring critical points to use to your own advantage in the discussion; you can't just leave things like that out.

And the former was not seen outside of the Sacred Realm, nor near the other sages.

Give proof that the other sages knew that Link had the MS.

They know because he awakened them all and the rest of OoT is still supposed to have happened.

That is totally not evidence.

Zelda, a Sage, knows Link has the MS.

I acknowledged that Zelda knew the location of the MS.

If you're not even going to acknowledge the ALttP manual in its original form I simply can't have a discussion with you because it degenerates into a shouting match

Acknowledge? Everything on the picture after "Downfall Timeline", and before "A Link to the Past" is all Zethar-II's translation. The one who you keep raving about.

Also, Zelda is a Sage. I doubt she dies as there would be no seventh sage.

She was awakened as a sage, that is the important part.

Zelda was never awakened as a Sage. She was ALWAYS seventh sage. It was never said anywhere she had to be "awakened" She's the incarnation of the Goddess Hylia.

The past already happened. Bringing it up is provocation. We moved past it. Please, stop trying to invoke a reaction from me.

The downfall timeline is OoT still happens, but Link fails at the end. How is that not evidence?

Do you honestly think that the other sages, after being awakened and moving to the Temple of Light with Rauru, don't know that Link has the MS? They know he's the HoT, but they don't know about the MS?

Nobody can prove that they know. Just like nobody can prove that the whole game doesn't take place in New York, in the future, and is just an illusion orchestrated by aliens who work for the Patriots. It's just as stupid though.

So when I was arguing that GDT would know Saria's a sage, where was this logic? I mean, he could sense destiny from Link as an infant, and yet be blind to the fact that she's a sage.

Just as stupid as the Great Deku Tree for not knowing Saria is a sage. Its not about stupidity. Why would they know the MS is the MS when they're not even supposed to know it exists?

Prove that this is wrong. You can't. It's obviously wrong though. Same thing. A few of the sages never mention Hyrule. I suppose they don't know what Hyrule is. Even Navi knows of the MS on sight.

I have circumstantial evidece to suggest that they don't: The A Link to the Past Manual. Its says that they have to search for the existence of the Master Sword.

The Sages first had to search for the existence of the Master Sword and a hero to use it.

Implying that they weren't even aware of it being real.

And that doesn't make sense. Hell. This whole debate started with people saying that HH didn't make sense, so saying HH says so doesn't really help. It saying so doesn't help it make sense.
