What do Cuccos eat?

Guys, this has been bothering me since I changed my avatar to a Cucco. What do Cuccos eat? They do look like chickens, sure, but they have to eat something that gives them such a powerful ability to fly.

Thoughts?

Gyshal Greens. Or Soylent Green. LOL

On-topic: Cucco's eat Link's heart after they kill him. Then the bring his head to their leader, and their leader turns him into a rug. The leader then used the Master Sword to eat the rest of Hyrule's hearts.

Cuccos might look sweet, but they actually love human flesh.

Correct me if I'm wrong considering it's been ages since I've played it, but, when Link was tiny in tMC, didn't Cuccos try and eat him (even without provocation of an attack)? If that's true, then, it's quite possible that Cuccos eat Minish. And I think I recall some NPC in ALttP throwing seeds to feed his Cuccos (in Kakariko village)...of course I could be mistaken.

Yes they did! It was kinda funny too.

As for normal food, your typical grasses/grains/seeds, bugs, and occasional Link flesh.

They eat worms.
