Skyward Sword Speculation/Theory Thread (SPOILERS EXPECTED)

-Debbie is a Skyloftian gone rogue. He's one of the main reasons why the Skyloftians go to Hyrule, and their eventual organization of civilization there.
-We never really saw the Skyward Sword, did we? I mean the sword seen in arts and footage was always the master sword right? Anyway, its more then likely to be a starting sword, or perhaps it is the skyward sword, just not transformed.
-Its the Skward Sword of course.
-The usual, but with cloud areas. Perhaps they would be the twist in the locale.


Otherwise, I can see this game answering a lot of questions for the series in general, including the FSS and perhaps even the older games.

I don't have hope if my theory is good enough, but in another Zelda resources they theorized that the mysterious man resembles like the Glided Sword from Majora's Mask.


Also that the mysterious girl resembles like the Master Sword....


....so my theory is that these characters or more have resemblance to others sword in the series are like a species or used to be a human/hyrulian/goron/zora/gerudo/etc.

Am I being specific?

I believe Nintendo would handle their characters better to keep them consistently recognizable like with all the other recurring characters in Zelda.

Exactly. The one from the trailer is not even close to the Vaati we knew from Minish Cap.

Midna says to Zant and I quote "Don't you remember we lost our king to such greed?". That guy is probably the king they lost. If that is the case that would mean it has already been pointed out that the guy in the trailer will eventually die somewhere in the storyline. That means in order to make sure that the ending is not spoiled that enemy in the trailer will have to be a Zant type of character. Miyamoto probably doesn't want that type of character to appear in Skyward Sword so guy will probably be the main bad guy's guard instead of puppet.

If this does focus on the Interlopers, then chances are that we're going to see the Fused Shadows make a return, and someone (probably the main baddie,) will be wearing them; giving him/her the ability to transform into that Trident-Wielding Spider that Midna becomes in TP.

At least Debbie's motif is not eyes or skulls. I was getting tired of that. Diamonds are a nice change.

I think 'Debbie' may not be a villain. Maybe nintendo want to **** with our minds a little I can't wait to find out more about this mysterious character(:

The way I see it, he could be nothing more than a mentor to Link, possibly.

Judging by his expressions when he "leans" on his arm while he sits on that gold statue, he could just be guiding Link through his adventures without getting too close, like how Sheik helps Link out in OoT.

That's my guess anyway. He just doesn't have that "villain" air to me for some reason.

But if he is a bad guy, oh well.

EL's right, he doesn't have that villain-air about him. And I don't think Nintendo would have the bottle to reveal the main antagonist of the game just yet. It's more spooky when he's revealed halfway through the game.

I think Debbie is actually another guide. Sort of a mystery guide. There have been others, for instance, Navi was the main guide in the Child Timeline whilst Sheik guided Link as an Adult. Ceila in PH guided Link but so did Linebeck. This guy could be an extra guide, with a bit of mystery around him.

The reason I suggested a Sheikah is obvious, simply because of the pale look about him. Maybe I'm just desperate to see a male Sheikah for the first time. There has to be a male Sheikah at some point otherwise, the whole race wouldn't live til OOT.

The girl's resemblance is because she is the Master Sword, taking on a human form. We've known for a while actually.

Debbie's resemblance to the Gilded Sword could be a coincidence, or it could actually be something. I'm willing to bet coincidence since the Gilded Sword was a reforged Kokiri Sword, and SS is before MM.
But who knows?

You know, I had objected to "Debbie is the Gilded Sword" before because he doesn't look like the Kokiri Sword but, in the GDC trailer, the white-hilted sword Link carries would seem to be an early form of the Skyward Sword.

Perhaps swords look more like their people the stronger they get.

Since we're in the discussion of swords check out this theory I had on the SS.

Speculation Topic-How SS becomes MS

Call me crazy but i think SS might be delayed with everything thats going on in Japan right now.

Unless it involves the destruction of Japan I doubt it. Tokyo isn't being crushed by the recent events which is where Nintendo HQ is.

But yeah, Nintendo's doing fine. They reported no structural damage or dead staff members with the quake, and the nuclear plant isn't all that close.

Debbie I think will just be a nice guy,
I mean I thought Midna would be the Main enemy in TP, Look where thats left me!

I'm having trouble answering the question whether or not Debbie will be more fabulous as a bad guy, or more fabulous as a good guy.

A terrible and selfish as it may sound, I hope that Nintendo doesn't use the recent events in Japan as an excuse to postpone release, as they usually do.

That character that seems to be the villian could be Vaati, as all of Vaati's forms arent his real form other than the cute widdle minish one, he could look like anyone even apart from artistic interpetation.
