I think Majora is the main villain in SS. Think about it, not much is known about the mask or the person/thing its named for. (Other then its spin off a non-cannon ARG. Where in said ARG the mask is spirit of the mask is the mask salesman's son... Ben.) (I shouldn't have said that. :-D) , also from what I've seen this is long before minish cap so majora or the mask are the only two left possibilities unless they introduce a new evil or have Ganon time travel through the myth that is the triforce of time. (God, i hope not!!!!)

The game didn't sell very well compared to OoT, ALtTP or TP, so Majora probably won't be the main villain. He may show up as a member of the Interlopers, but I doubt that he'll be the big baddie.

Also, seeing that this game will share HUGE connections with OoT and TP, chances are the main villain's going to be Ganon (again, lol) or whoever controlled/wore the Fused Shadows.

But seeing that the director for SS also worked on MC and the Oracles games, which featured villains who supported Ganon... chances are that it is Ganon. Oh and the Master Sword being the only weapon that can defeat Ganon. Don't forget that either.

The issue with that is OoT is Ganon's origin story. Putting him in SS will ultimately be pointless, since he'd have to die so OoT Ganondorf can take his place.

Maybe as a cameo, like a little kid. Gerudos certainly seem to live long enough to make it possible.

^ How about piggy Ganon? He stood on his own in 5 different games without appearing in human form. I think he could be inserted somehow.

Because, after all this time where it's been established that Ganondorf transforms into piggy Ganon via the Triforce of Power, it'd be kind of cheap to say "actually he's been channeling an ancient demon but we just never really thought it was relevant."

There are triforce symbols on one glowing grid and on the cloaks of some ghostly creatures inside the syren world, those glowing grids and those ghostly creatures reminds me the ancient sages from TP, I have a feeling that we will find the ancient sages and the triforce inside the syren world. To enter the syren world you need to put the skyward sword in the ground, the syren world is a reflection of hyrule, I think the syren world could become the sacred realm.

I thought Rauru and Kaepora Gaebora were ancient sages... and there's that guy on Skyloft that looks like Rauru.

In Minish Cap, the story is about a human who descended from the sky, using golden light and a single sword, to fight off the demons (Ghirahim) and restore peace to the world. The Minish Cap's back story really seems to fit well together. how it would relate to OoT idk, but it seems very plausible with what is going on.

Also the Kingdom of Hyrule in Minish Cap is small, lacks triforces in it's monuments (just like Skyloft) AND Link and Zelda are childhood friends (just like in Skyward Sword)

There are Triforces in the Minish Cap. I'm pretty sure the archway of the gate into Castle Town has a big Triforce on it.

But they are rare, Link does have a triforce on his shield in Skyward Sword but it isn't anywhere else. What I should have said is that it isn't prominent.

I do think SS has the potential to fit in very nicely as MC's backstory, but didn't someone at E3 say that the events of SS will lead all the way up to the beginning of OoT? If that happens, then yeah...

okay now i may be new to the theroy idea but bare with me here just cus im new to the forums dosnt mean i cant ave a good idea. Okay so thinking back to that debbi or what ever his name was is a leader of some sort of dark tribe could possibly be the twilight people or a new race BUT! a aternative could be that is that they are possibly the dark tribe from majoras mask becuase after all alot of majoras details are fuzzy and the fact Ghirahim has the guilded sword patren on his cape could mean that majoras is possibly the alternative villian? its not out of the realm of possiblitys and abit far fetched but it could work. plz correct me or tell me if this has errors or if someones already made this theroy. i also think the game is before orcarina of time AND all zelda thus possibly making this the begining of everything from the banished tribe to the rise of hyrule the master sword. another point i would like to make is i dont think ganon could be in this game becuase ganon dosnt take power till orcarina of time and minish cap cant take place after this game becuase there was no unfied kingdom til after OoT.so who knows mabye nintendo will surprise us with a totaly new villian or mabye majoras makes a come back.

That's an interesting point. They do seem to be somewhat connected, and it could be that SS is a prequel to TMC. I wouldn't really put it past them--besides, aren't some of the same people who worked on TMC working on SS right now?

Because of the origins of the Master Sword and Ganon not appearing anywhere yet (as far as we know), forgive me if this is old news, but I feel this game is going to be a prequel to all of the others.

I'm pretty positive that Skyward Sword will either support or completely dismiss the pre-Oot Four Sword Trilogy theory.

It's already been said that Skyward Sword will lead to the events of Ocarina Of Time though.

I always thought that the Hylian Crest was supposed to represent an eagle or a phoenix...

They could do a flash-forward into the future where we see the beginning of Ocarina of Time, making it possible for MC or a few other games to go in between SS and OoT.

Kinda like how LA was a sequel to the events of AlttP, but then years later it was revealed that two more games (OoA/OoS) happened between them.

Although if the events of SS go all the way up to, say, the fierce wars that are mentioned in OoT, that would kind of destroy any possibility for MC or any other games happening in between SS and OoT.


So basically, we have to wait for the game and see.
