New character (Debbie) in skyward sword

okay so i started another discussion about this same thing but it was closed even though it came first but thats besides the point. I think that the guy is probably some sort of new villian because of how dark his eyes and features look which seem more of a villian then anything else. I dont know though for all we know he could be an ally that was once a villian like Bane from ST was.

Another thing i noticed is he seems to be sitting upon the same gold machine that you see fighting Link at different points in the trailer. Do you think he may have activated it similar to how Zant set loose Stallord on Link in the Arbiters Grounds

Can we say: "3D Vaati?"

Lolz in all seriousness though, I have no idea who he is. My guess is a brand new thing Nintendos gonna throw at us but I do sincerely hope he is on Link's side

Mecha Shiva is shown spewing out purple while it is activated, Debbie is definitely the one who turned it on.

I think that it is pretty possible that he could be a dark interloper and that part of the storyline to SS could be the creation of the Twili. If he somehow is a Dark Interloper then the events of the game are probably going to be somewhat similar to Lanaryu's warning in TP.

hmmm......shows connestions to Twili, Interlopers, Majora and is speculated to be from Skyloft.. Are the developers finally throwing theorizers a bone?

Sorry, someone want to explain to me Twili and Interloper connections? I haven't seen any so far.

Their really isnt much of a connection because we only have a screenshot of him but they are basing it on how he is teleporting away seems similar to the Twilis. But since their is no sufficient proof none of us can really prove anything. But at the same time we can speculate that maybe if somehow he is a dark interloper that maybe their teleporting powers became more sophisticated over time

This won't be Vaati. Vaati already has an established human form and backstory of his own. He was born centuries after Skyward Sword in continuity.

I'm pretty sure he belongs to the race of the Skyward Sword and I'm thinking it's a villain... anybody notice how the think he/she/it was standing on comes to life, and attacks Link? And then afterwards, it vanishes... I'm thinking that this thing will antagonize Link throughout the game, appearing at random places and interrupting his progress...

Dimentio was an antagonist in Super Paper Mario.

The first thing I thought when I saw this new dude........where have I seen that pattern on his legs before? Luckily, I just happened to be playing through MM at the time, and so when I pulled out my sword it hit me. Initial, thoughtless reaction: HOLY CRAP ITS MAJORA! Then I calmed down.

Seems like an attempt to link MM with the rest of the timeline. Remember, the Mask was not necessarily a Terminian creation, as it was taken there by the skull kid who stole it in Hyrule's lost woods. The teleportation may link this new race to the Twili, and perhaps be the dark interlopers themselves.

Here's my take on it:

This new race is the race the interlopers came from, therefore it was only a portion of the race that were banished to the twilight realm. As outlandish as it sounds, I believe that this new tribe will eventually become either the Shiekah, the Gerudo, or both (note Midna's Gerudo orange hair and Shiekah red eyes).

As for skyloft, probably just a one off place that we never see again after this game.

I'm thinking that he and the Skyward Sword are descendants of ancient natvies of Skyloft. They look like the same race. I think he's the main villain, and he and the sword girl have a Midna-Zant like relationship.

What if its just a new type of enemy?

The character's hair reminds me of Veran's hairstyle. Just an observation.
