Aonuma was just going to say 'From the end.' It was actually Miyamoto who mentioned that there was 2 endings. Aonuma just explained it. so if both the producer/creater of the game and the director agree then it's canon.
Plus even if they hadn't said anything it is practically confirmed by a ton of things in the games, specially in WW and
TP backstories. Though good try for trying to come up with a theory that is different from the majority. Better luck next time.
