No BS Theory (BS = backstory)

People keep saying, "maybe the next Zelda will be the backstory we heard about
in such-and-such Zelda"...

Well I have a theory that no Zelda game has been, or ever will be created
to be the backstory of an existing Zelda game (with only one debated exception).

Let's take a look at the backstories:

LoZ
-Ganon invades Hyrule, takes the Triforce of Power, locks up Zelda.

AoL
-A sleeping spell is put on Zelda generations before AoL.

ALttP
-The Sages cannot locate the Master Sword or a Hero, so they seal
the Sacred realm with Ganon inside.

LA
-People worry about the next evil that will follow Ganon, Link is returning
from a long voyage when...
-Created after ALttP (ALttP was not made as a backstory to LA)

OoT
-The Temple of Time has protected the Sacred Realm until...
-A fierce war

MM
-Giants leave an imp behind, causing him to become sad
-Created after OoT (OoT was not made as a backstory to MM)

OoA
OoS
-A Ganon with a Trident died in the past
-Twinrova attempts to revive him

FS
-Vaati kidnaps maidens

WW
OoT Ganon returns to Hyrule on the AT, there is no Hero to stop him...

FSA
-Created after FS (FS was not made as a backstory to FSA)

MC
-The Minish grant the Hero of Men the Picori Blade and the Light Force...

TP
-OoT Ganondorf is sealed in the Twilight Realm, where the Twili live,
this comes to a head in TP...

PH
-Created after WW (WW was not made as a backstory to PH)

LCT
-Created after TP (TP was not made as a backstory to LCT)

ST
-A new land is found after PH

It is hotly debated whether or not OoT is ALttP's BS. But after all the confusion
this causes, I don't think Nintendo will ever make a game that plays out the events
of any backstory (or seems to).

Only one game on this list is believed to be the backstory to another game* (OoT),
and I believe this is no longer the case (if it ever was).

Look at all the games whose backstory cannot be a Zelda game because there is
no Hero to save the day. Almost every one.

It is my strong belief that no Zelda game is currently, or ever will be the backstory
to a Zelda game which came before.

*correct me if I am wrong

What's LCT?

Yeah, Not only would it be hard for the developers to make a game about a backstory, making sure they get their facts right and whatnot, I don't think playing through a BS would be too interesting. I do think that OoT was originally made to be the backstory in ALttP, but was later given the retcon by the developers.

Stuff, Welcome to ZU. Do some research around here before you get posting around in theory like that as to not make a big fool out of yourself like I did.
