Re: New Hyrule CONFIRMED!
Blue Swamp is Anouma name literally translated from Japanese. In this case, its used to mark the day the split was confirmed, because at that time they some guy literally translated every word of interview of aonuma, just to statisfy the doubters or something. At least, thats how I understood it was.

That, surely, is why it was placed in the sacred land, and its location passed down only among those chosen. However, it looks as though that was interrupted somewhere... Then, the one who again discovered the sacred land was the thief called Ganondrof. But, thankfully, he didn't know how to return to the World of Light. ...oh yes, I remembered." It doesn't say that the knowledge was lost.

Re: New Hyrule CONFIRMED!
It says it was only passed down to the chosen ones (royal family) and even that process was interrupted.
The Japanese concurs heavily with the english. All knowledge was lost.

Re: New Hyrule CONFIRMED!
How do we know for sure whether it's referring to the knowledge of the Sacred Land, or the Triforce itself being placed in the Sacred Land? As in how do we know whether the Triforce being in the Sacred Land was interupted, or just the knowledge of it?
If it was referring to the Triforce being in the SR in 1991 wouldn't that actually cause that quote to actually make sense? Quote:

I post this here. Why is there a soldier dressed like Link...?

The knowledge is clearly what's being referenced here. If not, Trinen would have fixed it in the GBA version, along with all the other false-time indications, such as "three or four generations"

Re: New Hyrule CONFIRMED!
All the soldiers are according to the IGN article. Link's green garb has become the standard. Link puts on the green clothes not because he's a hero, but because all the guards where it and he's trying to blend in.

Although that quote still makes (and never did make) any sense. I mean, hell, in 1991 it was just wierd. "Ganondorf became Ganon and was the first person to discover the SR and get sealed there. Then now in LttP Ganondorf the theif rediscovered the SR and got sealed there" Do you see what's just wierd about the quote? And Bill Trinen hasn't fixed everything in the GBA version... I really dislike using NoA versions as actual evidence.

Re: New Hyrule CONFIRMED!
Well. What can I say. New Hyrule. AWESOME.
Let it be known that I called the FSA - ST map comparisons ages ago back on ZI with the release of the EU ST Box art. XD Still, there are so many questions.... -Demon King = Ganon? He's the only character to have gone by that title in the series so far, but you never know. -If it is Ganon, how is he alive? Last I saw of him was a corpse with a sword stuck in its head being crushed by mega tonnes of water. -Will the Triforce be referenced/mentioned at all in this game? Its all just so exciting. |

And the Master Sword's location as well as the continued existence of ancient Hylian artifacts, which all disappear on the adult timeline, all seem to connect TP to ALTTP. With or without FSA in between.

![]() I'll be looking forward to the podcast. The clothes tradition is interesting, it seems Nintendo are making a habit of just giving young boys green clothes and sending them on dangerous quests. It is safe to say that the tradition started by the Hero of Time is still continuing though, through the Hero of Winds on to the Hero of Tracks (or whatever this Link's hero name is). That is a good indication that Aonuma is forming some kind of continuity between the games. Quote:

LA sincerely doubted a "New Hyrule", but they never thought that a "New Hyrule" was completely impossible. Also, they pretty much all believe that OoT was the IW back in '98 and was later retconned, so a new game eventually changing the timeline isn't an unfamiliar concept. Quote:

Re: New Hyrule CONFIRMED!
So a seemlingly Ganon stuck at the bottom of the sea somehow revives himself and turns himself into a train? That makes as much sense as the KoH possessing a boat.

You'd think, but a lot of people had this bizzare notion that King Hyrule meant Tetra couldn't name the new land Hyrule when he said "It won't be Hyrule. It will be YOUR land."
