Most debated topics

Hey guys, I was just wondering if one had to sit down and list all the actual topics that any Zelda theorizer would or should know really well, what would they be?

For example, I'm pretty sure the Timeline theory is self-evident, but on a more subtle note, what about Link's multiple reincarnations. Sure this is part of the Timeline theory, but I mean what is the theory behind Link's reincarnation, I.E. Ganondorf is always revived or escapes a seal, and that's why he shows up. Why does Link show up when Ganondorf does.

If that doesn't help, then hopefully my list to get this thread started will.

It's explained already. Whenever one bearer of the Triforce crest shows up, the "antithesis" of that person will show up to counteract it. Therefore, if Link shows up, Ganon comes back, and if Ganon comes back, Link shows up. It's all set up.

3. Sage's Role

I don't know what to say here. The Sages' roles seem pretty evident for the individual games they're in.

4. How the Triforce works

Yes.

5. Geography

Sort of. It shouldn't matter as much as it does.

6. Sacred Realm/Twilight Realm/Realms in general

Then why does Zelda always show up too? Are you saying that whenever one person with the Triforce shows up, they all show up?

Also, I'm not even sure the sages in OoT are correct. For example, in WW, there are only two sages, and Miyamoto has said [somewhere I'm pretty sure], that OoT was orignally going to have a wind and air temple. Does this mean that there was probably going to be two more sages?

Along this line, Zelda is described as a seventh sage, the sage of time. Is this distinct from her role as the bearer of the Triforce of Wisdom or are they the same?

You're right the Sages' powers are debated, but their actual roles (what they do) is pretty clear.

Maybe. By the way, he said that there was originally going to be a Wind Temple and an Ice Temple, the latter of which became Ice Cavern.

She's just the leader of the Sages and she is never called the Sage of Time. This doesn't seem to have anything to do with her having the Triforce of Wisdom.

I think you are helping my point rather. What I mean by role is an all encompassing notion of there creation, powers, roles, etc...

Well, I know the Fierce War is assumed to be before OoT and such, but I figure these things would fit better under Timeline. The reason I include Interloper War as it's own separate category is because what exactly went down isn't really known, leaving room for theorizing.

On a side note, added the Light Force, heh. And the Oocca

When was the Sages' Seal seen in LttP cast compared to other games?
When did the "legend of Zelda" spoken of in AoL occur compared to other games?
Will there be a "next Hyrule" after TWW?
Is the Dark Mirror from FSA the same thing as the Mirror of Twilight from TP?
Does the Triforce ever return to its resting place in the Sacred Realm after OoT and before LttP?

Does the Triforce return to the SR when it's wished on and flies away?

Also, good point on the Triforce, but I think that's included in how it works. I will add the mirror part for sure.

Comment: Wow, I really wasn't expecting this list to be as quite as big. No wonder there are so many people who like theorizing about Zelda.

I already am, it's at the bottom of my first post. I am contiunally updating it, although it looks as if people have stopped coming up with additions.

Don't forget the backstory for AoL.

And the Royal Family is quite mysterious too, but I'm not sure if that's debated much.

The most important things to learn? The Seal War is important (although I'd say wrongly so ). The only things that are really debated heavily are the Seal War (and LttPs position in the timeline), LoZ's position (not for a while, though), new Hyrule stuff, Ganon stuff, Triforce stuff.
