Lacking Gossip Stones in WW

How come in PH there are gossip stones everywhere, when in WW there are none? (except Tetra's) Did they all rocket off into space to escape the flood or what?

What I'm saying is why do you think they decided not to include them (except Tetra's, which is more of a blue shiny telephone then a gossip stone but whatever)

Daphnes says that he created the Gossip Stones (I think) and that he created the Pirate's Charm from those Gossip Stones. If there were any on Death Mountain, we didn't see them in WW because we don't fully explore whatever island it is.

I don't have any opinion on PH though because I've never played the game for more than 5-10 minutes.

Yeah, I just got PH, so I noticed that there are gossip stone EVERYWHERE, it made me realize how lacking WW was gossip-stone-wise, guess it's not a big deal, just a game designer decision.

The cool thing about Gossip Stones is "OMG THERE MIGHT BE SHEIKAH SECRETS IN THIS GAME (not)"

Actually Daphnes created Tetra's special gossip stone. If Daphnes created the original gossip stones
he would exist before OoT.

How does a bunch of stones become legendary?

I just got the impression that they were mentioned in the legends.
Some have theorized that the Royalty and/or Sheikah used them for spying:

I always thought that the Sheikah made the stones not the king. THe king just stole a piece off of one.

He made the Pirate's Charm from a Gossip Stone and magically altered it or something.

It's kind of a good indication that Daphnes came after the OoT Sages sealed Ganon and before
Wind Waker, (if he modded an OoT Gossip Stone) not really a rock-solid observation though.

I always thought that the ones in PH were different stones made by different people in a different time. But, that's just what I think.

I really think that the legend of OoT was "divided" among the dwellers of the Great Sea.

In other words, the more Link explores the Great Sea, the more people he will find with information about the legends of Hyrule. Keep in mind, that the "Ruto Crown" is also found in PH, whereas very little seems to be known about the Zora in WW. Other than Laruto, there are very few references to the Zora or Ruto in WW.

By the time of Spirit Tracks, [a new] Link will undoubtedly find even more things relating to the legendary Hyrule.

There are Zora in PH, just River Zoras

In case you havent noticed, none of the PH islands can be acessed in WW and vice versa. THEY'RE IN DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE SEA!!! The PH Sea is probably a different area of the world, so the godesses didn't flood the Kingdom of Hyrule-They flooded the world of Hyrule. Of course, nothing's stopping the Sheikah from going there and dropping a few Gossip Stones, but also the PH Gossip stones look nothing like the Gamecube ones. They look more like Training Dummies than stones.

In the Japanese there was never any indication of the WotOK being a different 'world' or a 'dream world'- only an extension to the Great Sea.

They migrated north for the summer. Then everything flooded and they got stuck up there.
