What Happened to Princess Zelda?

I suddenly have concerns that later seem obvious, but what exactly happened to Princess Zelda as the time went towards the Adult Timeline? In other words, Hyrule drowned and froze in time, but I believe the princess of that time escaped to the mountain tops and later turned into the ancestor of Tetra? Is that the case?

Ok, another thing that bothers me is: just how exactly did the flood and time freeze happen? And when TWW Link pulled the sword and unfroze time, does that mean that the people of the old Hyrule were awoken as well?

Well, the intro of Wind Waker states that the people prayed to the gods and the flood happened. Daphnes implies that he had more a direct involvement to the flood's occurring. But definitely, the time freeze occurred because of the Master Sword. The Master Sword has time affecting powers, so it is a key on the seal on Hyrule (and on the seal on Ganon).

And when TWW Link pulled the sword and unfroze time, does that mean that the people of the old Hyrule were awoken as well?

It's never said that there aren't people in Hyrule, but the intro seems to imply that everyone went up to the mountains. It makes sense, since the Flood was meant to stop Ganondorf, and when you go down to Hyrule, the only ones in the castle were Ganon's forces.

Ganon's forces becoming unfrozen was to signify that the seal on Ganon's powers had been removed with the pulling forth of the Master Sword. A lot of WW was very symbolic, and I'm mad that TP kind of moved away from that direction for more awkward advances in the storyline.

Since there really is little-to-no information about her at all, and the same with Link (after Majora's Mask) I tend to make up little ironic stories to amuse myself.
Zelda is hereby bartered off to some other Kingdom's King to be married so she can use the dowry to rebuild Hyrule but is so unhappy in her forced marriage that she runs away and begins a new career as a Pirate. Because.
Link gets lost in the LOst Woods since he didn't have a fairy guide and becomes a Skull Kid himself, but because he was the Hero of Time, he is the only Skull Kid to keep his face, and guides Link in TP to the Master Sword.

NO NO NO! Link did not die in the Lost Woods. He had to return to Hyrule to give the Hero's Bow from Termina to the Gorons and to become known as a hero on the child timeline. Not only that, but he knows how to get through the woods. He's not going to get lost, and people who get lost in the Lost Woods do not become Skull kids, they become a Stalfos, according to the Kokiri girl in the area of the woods in OoT who gives you the poacher's saw.

No - I bashed it in relevant context.

Adults become Stalfos. Children become SKull kids.

Navi suggest that when children get lost in the woods they may become Skull Kids. While Skull Kids tend to be friendly towards children, they fear adults and will attack them on sight.

Otherwise, explain how Link, having nothing but the Ocarina of Time, finds the Bow in Termina if there was no Hero before him?
And we know Termina from conception since the Grandmother's Story in the Stock Pot Inn told us the conception of the world there and the festivals to celebrate the Giants.

Now that's something I never thought of. If I had a chance to pick who the Hero of Time is in TP, it'd be either the golden wolf/skeleton teacher or the skull kid. I'd choose the skull kid. Makes sense.

She's probably Daphnes's mother or grandmother depending on how much time happened in between OOT's ending and the flood.

Oh, you're talking about the OoT Zelda. I was referring to the one that was present during the flood and time freeze. But that brings up something to think about: was the OoT Zelda present during that instant? She could have been the Queen of Hyrule for all we know, married to Daphnes.

I mean what happened to Princess Zelda from LoZ? Link rescues at the end, then in AoL, shes no where to be seen and now the plot focus around a different Zelda.

The Zelda from LoZ didn't appear in AoL because Link had cut relation with her, after so many failed attempts to get a kiss (and getting tired of saying "EXCUUUSE me, princess")... So he set out to find another princess Zelda, and then AoL happens. After AoL, a huge civil war breaks out, with Link (with the ToC) and Sleeping Zelda on one side and LoZ Zelda (with the ToW and ToP) on the other. The results of the war are unknown, but a lot of destruction came to the Kingdom of Hyrule.

Ganon didn't return to Hyrule until the tale of OoT Link passed down
through the generations and became legend... it was after Ganon's return
that Hyrule was sealed under the Great Sea...

Not all the people take refuge in the mountain tops,just the people chossen by the gods,i think just the royal family(princess zelda included) and maybe some important hylians.

since when we go to the frozen hyrule kingdom and we just see ruins around hyrule castle i think that all the other people in hyrule kingdom just die,i mean they were killed by ganondorf and his minions.

I never thought about that but you're right not everybody survived. Probably because the Goddesses knew a few islands couldn't support all of Hyrule. Although how did they make them stay? Did they just have the survivors leave quietly or did they use magic to keep them there?
