Spirit Tracks: Trains?

I hear many people theorizing that ST goes after PH on the Zelda Timeline. This makes alot of since, ST could be the new hyrule. But isnt there a problem? Most people have games after ST on their timeline, so where are the trains? Do they like go backwards in technology? Now I really am not big on saying where ST goes. Some people are so confident about it, but when it comes out and it's somewhere else on the timeline, ill be laughing.

It's like they say. Spirit Tracks will either prove or disprove the AT. Well, most likely neither, which is what I belive.

This is exactly the point I've been trying to make.

Unless all the trains magically disappear at the end of ST, I see no possible way for any of the previously-made games to go after ST.

As soon as all the spinners disappear after TP

Since when has technology been consistent in Zelda?

It's supposed to be 100, at least, that's all we know based on a NoA rep's quote.

Re: Spirit Tracks: Trains?

... Nintendo of America!!! NOT AGAIN!

On topic: Well I guess it wouldn't be likely for the games to happen in between them. Unless something happened to technology... or no other games but those following tWW happen on the AT. -.~?

Re: Spirit Tracks: Trains?

Well when you think about it trains aren't the most practical invention in the world. They can only go on certain paths, they suck up fuel endlessly, and using medieval technology they were probably pretty slow and very hard to build.

It's a wonder we didn't abandon them, honestly. It's quite possible that the Hylians just got tired of them and went back to horses.

Trains are normally used to travel often traveled paths faster then normal. I'm sure people would have had some use for them simply saying the people in Zelda got rid of all trains because they only went to one place is a little extreme.

Re: Spirit Tracks: Trains?

Not just because they only went to one place.

Trains and train tracks also require a large amount of wood and metal, things which a kingdom as dangerous as Hyrule is probably in need of.

Re: Spirit Tracks: Trains?

LoZ/AoL can easily go after ST because in LoZ, it says that Ganon "ravaged the land", which means that he would have "smashed his train set" like a toddler.

Why? What is your timeline anyway (if you have one)?

Mr. Mander I don't understand trains are very useful I guess I can't change your opinion on trains, but I don't think Hyrule would have a problem with resources...

SVB has 'micro-chronologies'.

aLttP-LoZ-AoL being one

OoT-tWW
-----\TP being another.

tMC-FS-FSA being one more still. Get the idea?

Sure it's cheating, but it's why he always wins on the 'what can be proven?' arguments- because he ONLY believes what is proven

Yet still thinks that aLttP's Zelda is the sleeping Zelda... something I never quite got with him...

I could believe tMC-FS-FSA having their own timeline. I don't know about the others though... They have to fit together some how.

I get it, but ALttP - LoZ/AoL is very likely to be wrong.

So, why does he bother to come on the Theorizing Forums if he doesn't "theorize"?

Re: Spirit Tracks: Trains?

Off topic but: I like SVB even if he doesn't contribute anything you (Beem... ) find valuable and only posts pure facts. He leads to other people contradicting him and those contradictions when against SVB turn out better then normal. SVB provides a drive to win.

So... ALttP - LoZ/AoL in his opinion, so Zelda from LoZ is also that sleeping Zelda... ALttP is before ravaged Hyrule and... You guys are right there is nothing to contradict if you have these mini chronologies.

smallville boy may drive us hard enough to win more, but I'm afraid that hard drive is corrupt.

It's actually been stated multiple times by some important Nintendo employees that the order is LoZ/AoL - ALttP

...Do you mean Miyamoto? It's reasonable to say that he didn't really know what he was talking about. Then again, putting either before the other once OoT came out both had a number of plotholes.
