Going along with that, though, the one problem that comes with FS/FSA (and, by extension, TMC, since it is the first part of the 'FS trilogy') being the oldest tales in the LoZ saga - as per developer comments - is that the in-game information - particularly concerning FSA - doesn't reflect that. It's one of the few - if not the only - instances in which in-game evidence and developer comments do not wholly jive with one another (OoT is, in retrospect, another, at least concerning its relationship to the backstory of ALttP). Of course, all of this in turn makes it very hard to determine its intended place in the developers' overall chronology.

Yes. Point is, they had the idea even when FSA was released, knowing full well what the game is like and that there is a Ganon involved.

Also, that other quote either applies to Wind Waker or Four Sword. I doubt any'd care about FS though, as WW was the next big thing back then. And FS was just a multiplayer extra.

It's from 2002, so either WW or FS. Seeing as WW obviously does not take place before OoT, they are probably talking about FS.
