Ganon and Ganondorf

Now, this is all baseless conjecture; pure fanfiction, but what's to say that Ganon and Ganondorf are the same? Well, in this, it's kind of a parasitic relationship, but not really.

Ganon is called an Ancient Demon Reborn, meaning that he was once around before Ocarina and that he died before Ocarina. This was LOOOOOONG ago, as indicated by the word Ancient

Ganondorf was born some time before Ocarina. Honestly, who gives a ****?

Maybe I've been playing too much Kingdom Hearts or something, but my idea is simple:

Ganondorf obtained his Ganon form. That's what is said, but I'm thinking that the Ganon form was obtained through some dark, blood covenant that cost Ganondorf his soul or something like that.

In times, Ganon is in charge. Sometimes Ganondorf is in charge. The two of them being together left Ganondorf's "imprint" [for lack of better term] on Ganon. And Ganon, being a demon with access to a Triforce piece, was able to withstand Ganondorf's "death".

Basically, this is my gist:

Ganon is a spirit, that can transubstantiate to a physical being.

Once Ganondorf was sealed in the SR, Ganon was without a host. He managed to slip past the seal, or maybe remained dormant once Ganondorf broken out.

After Ganondorf had died, Ganon made out of the SR as Ganondorf had earlier. He possesses Agahnimh. Bada bing - A Link to the Past.

I know, my thoughts are scattered.

Interesting idea.

I thought of Ganondorf as a some sort of "avatar" of Ganon.

When that avatar was killed (the end of TP) a new one has to be found (Aghanim). Of course, on the CT.

In WW, both Ganon and Ganondorf are killed (they never are seen are separated entities in this game) and, been Ganon the actual villain, he is revived in FSA. All of this in the AT, capice?

Hmmm, back when I was a young theorist (about 1 and a half to two months ago ) I came up with a theory like this. I abandoned it because I found it was kinda silly.
Another interesting thing is I just finished watching an Ancient Stone Tablets walkthrough and something similar came up. It said that in ALttP, Link killed Ganon's body not his spirit, which is the Ganon you fight at the end of the game. Not that most people consider AST canon or anything...
Anyways, yes, interesting theory. Nothing else.

Nope. Didn't cross my mind once.

I think it's all the same game. Don't forget, a LARGE portion of the series is based upon reviving Ganon. Are they reviving an unborn Ganon?

Only other possible Ganon is Zelda's bro.

'Ancient demon reborn' is from FSA, and if FSA is long after OoT then it doesn't really tell
you that Ganon existed before OoT.

Incidentally, I believe that in the original japanese 'ancient demon reborn' refers to the Trident,
not Ganon or his spirit, i'll look that up...

I would definitely not call this baseless conjecture, because it's pretty clear that you're basing this off of SOMETHING.

Anyway, Ganondorf is called an Ancient Demon Reborn in Four Swords Adventure.

Thus, FSA would refer to either TP or WW's Ganondorf as the Ancient Demon, not to some Ancient Demon sometime before OoT.

So, uh, there you go.

Whether this belongs in Theorizing or not (it does) is not up to debate ITT (or any other thread for that matter). It is up to me

This seems plausible

I think Ganon is a demon... one who was worshipped by Ganondorf's surrogate mothers, who after giving birth, named their son after him. He is a spirit of greed, who manifests himself physically as a boar-like monster. I think he was lurking within Ganondorf since birth, he is the source of Ganondorf's magic and the driving force behind his motives.

In the early chronology(OoT, TP), he is a wild, rage-filled, porcine beast; like incredible hulk he doesn't have very much control of himself, but sometime along the way, Ganondorf permanently mutates into this form, with his original mind and personality intact, as seen in ALttP.

Of course, this is just my opinion, I don't really have much of a source.
