LoZ: Knights of Hyrule (working title)

Christ i havent been here since 'o4

I've had a Zelda story idea a whiles back of which ive been developing, it follows the basic storyline of OoT, however it takes place in the real world, with hyrule being an alternate world. and im wondering what you guys (and ladies) thing of it

the Earth and Hyrule are intertwined buy the videogame compony nintendo, however, what many many people don't know, is that Hyrule is an alternate version of Earth.

When Hyrule is taken over by the Gerudo King Ganondorf, Princess Zelda flee into the only known portal out of hyrule to seek help and freedom, she stumbles into the lives of three indaviduals who are the Earth reincarnations of the golden goddesses (yet two are male...imagine that). As the story goes on they are told the only way to seal the gerudo king is by use of the master sword, and must find the sacred stones required for aquiring the blade...

The other half is not clear in my head yet, i need to work the sages in somehow, and the only mention of link is as a warrior who failed in his battle against Ganondorf. but i think it has potential as a fanfic (and if i could, id make it into a youtube series.) however it has been called heresy as OoT is considered a classic among zelda players i know. but i like the idea of a Zelda fan fiction taking place in the real world instead of hyrule, the great sea or termina.

Oooh, I think you might have a really awesome idea here! (I've always enjoyed stories that try to deviate from the norm like this.)

Let me know when you have the first chapter written. I'd definitely like to read it!

thats if i ever get it written, i have a couple other non zelda fiction, one of which being my baby Dobutsu Gakuen (Animal Crossing was a basis for that one). but THIS ONE would be a blast to write, since i just need to use the base plot from OoT and a few major characters, as well as the bosses and mini bosses as Ganon's minions...since they are in the first place XD, the rest of it i can just make up off the top of my head.

It's fine if you just want to use the basic plot of OoT. But what I'm interested in here is how you're going to deviate from the main story. What I might suggest doing is perhaps jotting down some ideas. That way, when you are ready to write this monster out, you'll still have your ideas! (I don't know about you, but a lot of times my ideas disappear just as quickly as they do appear. Damn plot bunnies!)

i may take somekind of power ranger idea.

like, foot soldier like monsters (like Gibito, Stalfos, Redeads, etc) acomponying the (mini) boss as to get in the trio's (and if i decide to, zelda later on) way to buy some time/just terrorize people, but thats kinda cliche i think.

and i need a better title, cause Knights of Hyrule sounds like it takes place in hyrule.
