| The Authoress' Corner Just a little poem I wrote. About a little child that wants to bring light to her bedroom, but she can't see it from her window, as it faces the north. The suns glow won't touch the north and so the gloom comes forth and my room will never see the light no matter how bright. So grab a jar, and a cap and the sun is what I shall trap and when it greys it fades away, leaving my soul alone. So plant a seed, and take the lead grow a flower of the sun but it will take very long, and our work has just begun The flowers they, will fade away and wilt inside my hand and nothing I do will make them live and nothing I can give But out the door, they wait for me my only little friends The fireflies, their happy cries light up the night And in they fly, and never die, into my little jar 'cuz when they're here in my room the light is never far...  I really don't like putting my work out on the internet, because I'm afraid someone will copy it. But, I've got the personal copyright so, Copyrighted 2012

So into the sky, my children, you fly tonight And spread your wings and hearts with might Soar into the sky And always fly towards the trees of life The nests you can make Just don't let them break And watch over each other with care. And just remember, when you need me I will always be there My children, I can't stay ever present with you But my love is constantly there too And though you're old, and married, and bold Just treat this earth right So soar off into this enormous world tonight. People here at ZU are incredibly talented!!Does it take you a long time to write your poems, or does it just come to you naturally? They really are very well written I must say! I particularly love your poem about the mother and her children; It's got a very warm, gentle and positive feeling to it. I hope that you are able to upload more soon!
