So... I've been working on poetry and a few other things with the 100 themes challenge on DA. For those of you who aren't aware, it is 100 topics where you write a poem, short story, or you can draw a picture or something like that.

The ones that have -Check after them, I've completed.
Anyhoo, I've done up to seven, and I want to post them here as I write them.
#1 Introduction:
Spoiler:
Watching the crowd he climbed the stage,
His dark locks caught the spotlight,
He moved his hands onto the podium,
The crowd around stared at him,
Their greedy eyes waiting and watching,
He opened his mouth and said four words,
This is the beginning.
The crowd waited on bated breath,
Listening for the liquid gold that poured from his mouth,
He spoke and praised and preached,
Finally at the end,
He introduced them to life.
They ran from the hall,
Rejoicing in their newfound knowledge,
Each introducing a new person to life,
“Everyone must live,” they said.
They each brought a person from shadow,
Dragging them forth into the light,
Then the world rejoiced in the everlasting peace,
Waiting and watching for the end that surely follows a beginning.
#2 Love: This is a song I wrote
Spoiler:
You’re the kind that walks away,
But come on, baby, I need you to stay,
Even if only for one more day,
I love you in every way.
When you walk down the stairs,
And you’re ready to leave here,
Always remember and never forget,
You’re the one, the only, you’re my it.
The girl I love and that’s why,
Without you I’ll die.
You open the door and launch yourself out,
Wrestling hard with your doubt,
The next day you come back in,
Dark, bruised, and a little more thin.
When you walk down the stairs,
And you’re ready to leave here,
Always remember and never forget,
You’re the one, the only, you’re my it.
The girl I love and that’s why,
Without you I’ll die.
You say you’re leaving I can’t make you stay,
Just one more time that you’ll walk away,
I give you a kiss and you smile right back,
When you’re gone it’s what I’ll lack.
When you walk down the stairs,
And you’re ready to leave here,
Always remember and never forget,
You’re the one, the only, you’re my it.
The girl I love and that’s why,
Without you I’ll die.
And now you’re gone,
I’m here all alone,
You walked away,
You’ve gone back home.
#3-4 Light and Dark: It is the title of this piece
Spoiler:
#5 Solace:
Spoiler:
Slipping into his arms never felt so good,
Even though she suspected it should,
She peered up into his blue eyes,
Bluer than the bluest skies.
A bitter tear ran down her face,
Besmirching her beauty and her grace,
He reached up and he pulled her in,
Squeezing out her pain again.
She cried awhile and awhile more,
Her tears came down the way raindrops pour,
She wiped them off and she smiled up,
She sought the solace of his touch.
He grinned back down and he kissed her face,
She locked her sadness in its place,
She smiled again and again once more,
And her raindrops ceased to pour.
#6 Break Free
Spoiler:
It’s time, she thought,
Though she couldn’t think why,
She set the bag down and walked out,
The people behind called for her,
She walked and walked and walked.
No one stopped and yelled for her,
As she walked down the crowded street,
No one stopped or stared at her,
She booked down the lane,
Straying from the ones who did.
She ducked into the dark alley,
And slid through and underpass,
The sun crept out to watch her,
As she escaped from the lies,
She walked and walked and walked.
Break free, she thought,
Though she couldn’t think why,
The people still called occasionally,
Wanting to know her life,
She smiled and hung up,
Staying free of the ties that bound.
#7 Heaven
Spoiler:
The bird closed its eyes,
Took one last breath,
Screeched a croak,
And closed its beak.
Its world closed then opened again,
It soared through an open plane,
Drank from a free river,
Chased rats and rodents.
The kingdom of Heaven is what we make,
From a simple plain,
To a complex city,
No one can take what you believe,
But you.
So dream a happy dream,
Never forget what you believe in,
Because one day you might be a crow,
Taking one last deep breath,
One last croak,
Close your mouth,
And,
End.
That's all for now. I'll post the rest as I write them.
