[Poetry] Lozzie's Poetry Corner

once again I dust off the ol' corner to submit some more work. This one got me out of bed to right, so I feel it's good:

Unfortunate

Unfortunate
that we aren't
more than friends
Unable
to overcome my fears
of losing the battle
and break down the barrier
prohibiting the emotion
to exit out
Determined
I was to be with you
worried that others around
would hurt you in ways
I could not fix
Caring for you
in the times on despair
and the illness that fated
our one true time together
Hopeful I remain
that I can release the emotion
that lay dormant in my heart
Unwilling to cope
with another hard hit
loss.

Another great poem as always Lozzie! You're very good at this! Can't wait to see more of your stuff!

after a good guy, this is what i came up with. not my best, but i needed something:

I sit here
with you on my mind
thinking about how
beautiful you are
It kills me inside
the way you ignore
all the signs around
all the whispers of us
together
I care for you more
than you will ever know
and I don't know how
to convey this message
but I feel
the more you deny
my feelings for you
the more it is going to tear
a hole in my heart
I hope that one day
we are together
for you deserve a lot more
than you are receiving now
and hopefully our friendship
blossoms into something more
and that each day that passes
is another day in your arms
in love
forever.

After reading the rules, I noticed that reviving your old thread in this section is ok if you are updating, and I am updating. If the mods here do not like it, I will just open a new thread. But I knew I had a thread in here, might as well just update it.

I have not been inspired to write a poem in a while. I wrote on to my ex before we broke up and gave it to her for our anniversary. I hope she kept it, but I doubt it.

These two obviously are about her. Hope you all enjoy them.
