Month for ZuNoWriMo
Alright, until pipking comes back into the fold, let's get this party started.
Since last year this whole thing popped out of the blue, let's get this off on the right foot. Which month would be better to host this party? The options being the month prior (October) or the month after (December), or the month after after (January). NaNoWriMo takes place all of November, so take that into consideration. I am also taking into consideration that a lot of people leave for Christmas. So, let's decide when to start up ZuNoWriMo. This was a good idea and has to go again. That's why I am pumping more life into this.

Re: Month for ZuNoWriMo
I've been waiting to see traces of ZuNoWriMo coming. I want it to be in October again. Very good month in my opinion...

Re: Month for ZuNoWriMo
For me, none are good. Sorry, it's true. October I can't get to the computers because it's my birthday on the 2nd, my dad's on the 27th, and my grandmother has hers around the 22nd. December has Christmas. I shall be building Legos, playing video games, reading books, and BUYING books. January has my brother's b-day and New Year's.
In other words, January. I don't have as much scheduled. Plus, I'll still be on winter break for a few days. =D

Re: Month for ZuNoWriMo
January seems most logical. That way if folks want to participate in NaNoWriMo as well as ZuNoWriMo, then they can do that and have a month to relax their writing mind after such a stressful pull-through. Then, when January rolls around, their mind will be fresh again, and they can begin anew with an all new tale.

I think Safer's got the right idea, especially since I plan on participating this year. *crosses fingers* Hopefully.

Re: Month for ZuNoWriMo
Although I won't be participating (30,000 words is a trifle novel size), I can safely say that January is the most logical choice. Having been a participant in NaNoWriMo for two years, and gearing up for my third, I couldn't possible waste a good storyline on a 30,000 word goal a month before a 50,000 word goal. This year I'm going to over 100,000; I hit 84,000 last year before the story ended.
January is the best month. NaNo people will agree. Heck, even February ... anytime AFTER the new year.

Re: Month for ZuNoWriMo
I find October to be the logical choice. It's a nice warm up for those who wish to do NaNoWriMo in November....helps to get your groove on. Also, I would have a better chance of participating in October than Nov-Jan.

Re: Month for ZuNoWriMo
I agree with having a break between the two, which would be very helpful for first-timers in either, like me. Also, since ZuNo is the lighter one, I think it'd be more effective having it after NaNo so any continuation of the story, or new ideas as a result of NaNo, could be done then.

Re: Month for ZuNoWriMo
Since I'll be coming back for both NaNo and ZuNo, I'm going to vote for January '08. It seems like having it the month directly after would be too soon, same for before - and besides, it's nice to have a cool kickoff to a new year.

Re: Month for ZuNoWriMo
Or, I think it's nice to have in October for those who won't participate in NaNoWriMo. They can do something as less demanding, ie, ZUNoWriMo, and feel good about themselves. This would make it optional for contenders of NaNoWriMo, but at the same time, draw more people in for October. I like ZuN....(tired of typing in stickies) because I wouldn't have as high of demands to meet at the other. Putting it in October will be fun for those who wish to do only that, while giving those who mainly want to do Na.... an extra challenge.
Again, I say October.

Re: Month for ZuNoWriMo
I agree on October... I think that since the last one was in Oct. this one should be, too. I'm one for tradition.
Also, for those planning to do both, they couldn't they have the start be in ZuNo and finish it in NaNo? I'm not sure if that breaks NaNo's rules or not...

Re: Month for ZuNoWriMo
Can you make a decision soon, please? I have stuff waiting in the pipeline. I'd like to know which month it starts so I can either prepare (if it's October or November), or just go ahead and forget it (since I'll be going on a mission most likely early next year).
