Joss Weadon

Has anyone heard of him? he created the shows: Buffy the Vampire slayer, Angel, Firefly.and he has directed/is directing:Alien Ressurrection, Serenity.

has anyone seen anything by him? My sister absolutely loves his stuff she owns all buffy eps all angel eps and all firefly eps(but there was only one season)
please discuss.

I must admit I love Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. That show is excellent.

ive only seen some of it but i seen all of firefly! the movie serenity that joss is doing is based on the show firefly.

Anywhoo.. I've seen all of BtVS, still have some of Angel left to watch (that is, most of the seasons. They're butchered on Swedish tv, so I have to buy the seasons on DVD = Money I dun have yet), seen some of Firefly(Not butchered, I can watch it every Thursday. Reruns as soon as the 14 eps are over^-^) and I'm looking forward to the Serenity movie.

Of his works, I do prefer BtVS, excellent show. ^-^

I think Angel sucks. Buffy was a great show, but Angel was really one I didn't like.

I love Buffy! I think Joss Whedon's very talented. Not only is the series quite unusual and boasts a diversity of episodes - hilarious, touching, scary, mysterious... - he also wrote a musical episode which is good enough for a feature film. Those songs are brilliant. His script itself has a very distinct, attractive style.

ive heard ost of the songs fro that episode and i think they're good too.

A talented guy...no doubt. His shows are decievingly good.

I like the song Spike sings, Just let me Rest in Peace, or something like that.

That's my favourite episode of Buffy.

s6ep07 Once More With Feeling.

Yeah, it's one of those episodes in BtVS you either love or hate. I mean, how many other series have a musical episode? And it was carried out so well, it actually managed to bring the story forward a whole deal when the characters has to sing about how they feel, saying things they had rather kept secret. I have the whole soundtrack on CD. ^-^ I do prefer Tara's "Under Your Spell" Giles' "Standing" and Spike's "Rest in Peace." James Marsters (Spike) really has a nice voice. :] I have a few songs by his old band too, Ghost of the Robot.

Also, the MotW, the dancing demon ("This demon that can be summoned, some sort of Lord of the Dance. Oh, but not the scary one. Just a demon.") didn't even have the name Sweet, the fans named him that because the credits said Sweet makeup, when they really just meant the makeup was sweet, not the actual name of the demon. But Joss just tagged along, so the demon is now Sweet.

I hear they're rather hard to come by nowadays. Its so frustrating that shows like Buffy, Angel & Firefly are completely underrated as they are perceived to be "uncool". Whatever. If people can't respect & appreciate these shows for their script geniusness & amazing storylines, then pish and poo to them.
