[GIMP] Simple Background for Computer
This is a simple background that requires very little skill. No brushes, nothing but
time, 5 minutes or so. And I did this in GIMP 2.2.4 so anyone with lower version has to manually find it. Final Product (Varies on your choice of style): http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd125/ZM11/BG.png (I can't put pictures of the steps, I'm limited on my memory space). Step 1: Set the foreground color as black. Open a blank canvas. Before you make it a canvas, find your screens resolution. Mine is 800x600 so you get an 800x600 canvas. Now go to Filters> Renders> Nature> Flame... Step 2: Go to the "Camera" tab and change the "Zoom" to 3.00 or for better speed, 1.50. Click "Edit" by the image of the BG. Step 3: Look for the "Variation" list. Look and test through the types. I use Spherical and Sinusoidal. Now look at the 9 squares. Click one if you want use it. Or press "Randomize" and search until you find one. Step 4: Go to Colors> Colorize. Pick the color you want and press "OK". Go to File> Save As, name it and save. There you go, it should look Simple, Clean and Easy to make. Add text and what-not to make it personal! Tell me if there is a problem.
