[ImageReady CS2 and possibly PS CS2]Kennywood Sig Tut
Hello all and welcome to my next tutorial! ^^ This tutorial is my first sig tutorial, so bear with me, okay? It may have some stuff that will help you.
![]() ![]() Step 1: The most obvious and easy step. Open a new document. Go to File>New and then choose your image size and all that. Step 2: Pick two or three colors, which in this case I picked yellow, red, and orange, and then use a brush and brush the whole image with them. I used a drop shadow brush (Click the paintbrush tool and then the select brush drop down arrow. Then click the little arrow in the top right hand corner of the window that appears to select a group of brushes to display). Step 3: After you're done brushing, apply a motion blur. Put it to whatever setting you like. Go to Filter>Blur>Motion Blur to do this. Step 4: Then apply a spatter effect. Go to Filter>Brush Strokes>Spatter to do this. Again, put it to whatever settings you like. Step 5: Duplicate your layer now. Go to Layer>Duplicate Layer to do this. Delete the background layer (Layer>Delete Layer)and duplicate your other layer again so you have two you can work with. Step 6: Gaussian blur the layer in the back and then set the layer on top to lighten. For Gaussian Blur, go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur and for lighten, go to Layer>Layer Style>Blending Options. Then click blend mode and select lighten. You should have something that looks like this now: ![]() Step 7: Now you're ready to add the Kennywood arrow. Paste the arrow in using Edit>Paste and use the magic wand if needed to delete the background. Then duplicate the arrow. Step 8: Set the arrow on top to normal at 58% and the one behind it to overlay at 100%. Then press Ctrl + T on the keyboard to go to the resizing part. I resized the arrow some by just clicking the corner and holding shift to keep the proportions. Then I rotated the Kennywood arrow by clicking and holding the left mouse button over the edge of the image. Then add an outer glow to each arrow (Layer>Layer Style>Outer Glow). You should have something that looks like this now: ![]() Step 9: Now we add glowing effects on the image. Make a new layer (Layer>New Layer) and then click the brush tool again and display the first group of natural brushes (not natural brushes 2). Click any of those and set the brush to disolve with a low opacity of around 19% or so. Then brush around both Kennywood arrows and in other places of the sig, if you'd like. Use other brushes if you wish. Add an outer glow and an inner glow (Layer>Layer Style>Inner Glow) to it and then liquify (Filter>Liquify). Now you should have something like this: ![]() Step 10: Now we're ready to add the photo of Kennywood's top coaster, the Phantom's Revenge. Paste the photo and move it around as such and if you want to, resize it. Set it to overlay at 100%. Step 11: Duplicate the layer that the photo is on and set that to overlay as well, but at 66%. Then erase parts of both photos that you don't want. Now your image should look similar to this: ![]() Step 12: Now we add text. Choose any font you'd like and type in what you want. I recommend the color I used if you have the same sig colors. Step 13: Give the text an outer glow and set it to overlay at 80%. To rotate the text, use the same method that was used on the Kennywood arrows. Step 14: Lastly, add a border using the rectangle tool with it set to create new shape layer and then you're done! ^^ ![]() Well, what do you think? This might not be EXACTLY how I made the sig, I may have adjusted the image's contrast and brightness and stuff. I don't remember. But do that if you need to. ![]() Also, I can't make this into an image, because I really don't know how. Sorry. ![]()
