Yes, I realized that recently, which is why I vote that next round, scoring should be submitted via PM. It's not fair that Awkin could see his own scores (if he had any) and nobody else does.

Or we could not. After all, in support of Master Morality, why do we have to show you anything? You don't get better by being shown how close or mismatched your threads were. THe first goal in reforming defeat is to acknowledge two things: Some people are simply better than you, and a sense of self-worth. Both of which don't change who won and who lost. After all, among the council, who aren't the judges, we have dissenting opinions on some of the winners.

In short, calm down and behave yourselves. Stop making such a big deal. At least you get to witness operation this time. Last time it was authoritarian, so, again, in short: BE QUIET!

...everyone seems pretty calm. No one's making a big deal of things beyond "hey wouldn't it be cool if ___". One of the worst things is to be told you've worse than someone or you've lost or you haven't got the position or whatever, but not get told what was good, what was bad, et cetera. You've already mentioned your critieria for grading:

Y'know how subscribed threads appear in your UserCP when they get posted in? I want to avoid getting that page activated for the time being (as I'm quite busy. Too busy to look at all those threads as I usually would), and the only way to do that is to not log in to my normal account.

In case it sounded as if I actually banned myself, this is not the case. I'm just refraining from logging on to my normal account.

Why don't you just delete the subscribed threads you don't like OOOOOOR, just not read them? xD

Because I like reading most of them.

I do delete the ones I don't like, but I could probably count the ones I've deleted on both hands, if I could remember them. (the only one I can remember at the moment is the Count thread.)

The council exists to make this environment better for those who use it, that is why we have more than a single mod or two running the establishment.

Part of being a council is not only having people feed information in, but feeding the results back out.

Yes, I realized that recently, which is why I vote that next round, scoring should be submitted via PM. It's not fair that Awkin could see his own scores (if he had any) and nobody else does.

I never go in there. But -- having read this and knowing that was was there didn't pertain to me -- I had a look.

It looks like the system of scoring isn't as complex as I thought -- and it's true, the numbers present aren't that helpful, and there's bloody loads of them. I can see why releasing them would just be a hassle.

I'll keep out of the box until the tourney is done.

On an unrelated note, when one flutters one's eyelids does one 'bat' or 'batt' them?

It's the same as the baseball term, or the Southern tradition of catching bats by throwing rocks in the air.

Singular: Bat
Action: To bat
Currently: Batting.

You would just bat them. Batt isn't even a word <3

And although I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into these tourneys, I think that a little bit less of a snitty attitude would work better for all parties involved.

Dictionary.com believes that 'batt' is a word, although it is some sort of linen sheet. Thank you for clearing that up.
