Blood Bath in West Shinjuku [Set 2]

“Stop talking to me already,”

To the ordinary, untrained, and unskilled it appeared that a single girl, no more than twenty, dressed in very casual tomboyish clothing was walking down the quiet West Shinjuku street. They however would be wrong. Beside the girl was another, looking the exact same in all features except for the attire chosen. While the first went for a rebellious modern look, the invisible one had on a black kimono, and a white haori remnant of times long passed. “Why can't I talk to you Nyaaa~?” The first said on an overtly whiny voice.

“Nya, no one else but you can hear me you're going to attract a crowd,” The black garbed girl said with any emotion in her face.

“There's no one here though, Nya~” Nya said, prompting the other to scowl at her unusual way of finishing all her sentences with her own name, “It's still dark, no a person in sight, Nya~” She was right, the little town that sat under the shade of Tokyo was completely devoid of any sort of life. The large buildings on either side spoke nothing of work, and where ghastly unoccupied, except for the odd janitor that was getting some last minute work done at the dead of night. The street lamps where the only sort of visual guide to allow the two to find their way, as not a single star was able to shine through the heavy overcast above their heads.

“I know,” Juri replied a tinge of melancholy in her voice, “Ever since that fight with Kazuya I haven't been myself. There is no way I can go back to the Soul Society now, and I am certain that they are going to be looking for me. I guess I have been on guard, if they ever find me I will be executed you know,”

“Then why don't you just go back, Nya~,”

“Are you crazy! I can't do that, I lost! To someone of a lower rank to, then I attacked an nearly killed the Vice Captain of Squad four!” Juri replied in a huff before stopping and looking towards the sky, as if it was going to awnser her call.” I am a disgrace to my squadron, and my brother. I cannot go back there until I have redeemed myself, till I have proven myself worthy. That wont happen until I become stronger, right now I am far to week to even consider going back,”

“But Juri-Chan...”

“Don't “but Juri-Chan” me!” The hot headed vice Captian nearly screamed, “That is final, I am not going back until I can prove it to myself, until I can beat Kazuya Hayashi I will stay here.” Just as she finished her little speech a chilling and girlish scream spread through the haunted street. Turning to the commotion Juri looked just in time to hear a gunshot ring out, and a blond haired girl fall to the ground.

Her protection instincts kicked in as she found herself charging towards the commotion, her blade already drawn. The dark, haired man stepped closer to the women who was bleeding from her shoulder, a gun in his shaky left hand. He stretched his arm down towards the women's frightened face, as he smiled nervously, “This if for what you have made me become,” He muttered, “Now you will pay,”

“Like hell she will!” Juri screamed as the ring of revelation was activated in a blinding flash of light. The dark haired coward turned and flinched at this causing the bullet to just miss the blond haired women's head. The man screamed and dropped his gun as Juri slashed through the tendon in his wrist, without a second thought he turned and fled as fast as his legs could take him. Juri was about to give chase until she heard footsteps.

Juri Kato turned on her heels, and quickly covered her eyes, the sun had just started to peak over the side of the earth, sending the clouds a flame with colors of orange, red, and yellow and spreading light over this part of the earth temporarily blocking the vice Captian's field of vision. It was a trick situation, the hot headed girl was standing over the body of a wounded, and now unconscious girl, with a bloody katana in her hand. If she chose to undo the ring of revelation then Nya would be blamed, so she only had one choice and that was to wait until the person, whose entire body was like a silhouette created by the blinding light, spoke.

Re: Blood Bath in West Shinjuku [Set 2]

Shopping for new technology was always fun, and Japan was certainly one of the best places to do it. Always an early riser, Falenor had decided to take a nice, peaceful walk before dawn to take a break from the busy chaos that was Tokyo in the daytime. In hindsight, it had been quite an interesting trip, in spite of or perhaps even because of the language barrier; Falenor's amazingly quick mind had already been able to pick up many of the basics of the language in the couple of weeks he'd spent there, though admittedly telepathy had been a huge help.

As he left the hotel he was staying in, he took the time to have a quick look around the surrounding area. It was still night, really, so there was practically no-one around, although the occasional light could be seen in windows here and there. Like most of the rest of Tokyo the buildings were packed rather tightly and built high, which combined with the darkness and heavy cloud cover made it seem like some of the high windows were looking down from the sky itself.

It was a pity the stars weren't visible, but Falenor enjoyed the walk anyway. He hadn't really been able to appreciate the city during the day with all the goings on, so being able to slow down and take it all in was a welcome experience. Or at least it would have been had he not been interrupted almost immediately by a piercing scream.

His mild irritation was immediately overcome by a sense of curiosity and concern, prompting Falenor to take off towards the source of the cry. Luckily it wasn't far, but he still couldn't risk flying in case someone spotted him, which would result in all manner of awkward questions. He was still able to use kinetic force to speed himself along, so within a matter of minutes he came across a dark haired man apparently fleeing in the other direction. Hesitating for a moment, Falenor decided the source of the scream would most likely be what the man was running from, so he continued with even more urgency.

Soon after, Falenor turned a corner and was confronted by what was quite obviously the source of the cry he he'd heard earlier. He quickly took in the scene before him and literally flew at Juri, knocking her away from the wounded girl before she had a chance to react. He glanced down at the girl's injury and noted that it was clearly from a gunshot, whereas Juri seemed only to be carrying a katana. He immediately set to work on the wound but kept some of his attention on his surroundings as a precaution.

Unfortunately, the bullet had driven quite some distance into the young girl's shoulder. It had barely missed a large nerve cluster, which meant Falenor had to take incredible care in removing it...care that he couldn't really use while a woman with a bloody katana was standing nearby, visibly annoyed at him. So for now he merely placed a force barrier tightly over the wound to stop it bleeding and stood to face the woman with the katana, staff in hand. Hoping that she could speak English he asked in a rather urgent voice, "What happened here?"

As she was about to respond he added, "Oh, and I think it fair to warn you...do not attempt to deceive me. I will be able to tell. And you'd better make it quick; I don't like the look of that bullet wound," his voice began leaning towards a more nervous tone as he finished speaking.

Re: Blood Bath in West Shinjuku [Set 2]

OoC: I lose. Could you have possibly thought of a more confounding scenario? If you didn't want me in this competition, you could have just told me.

BiC: Miss Spider was feeling very happy. How the French rose -a black rose- ended up in the eastern nation of Japan was a mystery to her, but she could not have been happier to be there. One moment, she had been sleeping soundly on her web, the next, she was lofted up somewhere in Japan. If she was forced to make a wild guess, she would have imagined that the structure she had snuck into after gorging on blood was, in fact, a vehicle. After drinking as much of the red liquid as she had, she would have naturally been a little sleepy. Everyone became sleepy after a hearty, fulfilling meal. After stringing up her web in a wonderfully dark place, the place must have carried her to where she ended up.

If she was forced to make a wild guess, she, most likely, would have guessed that. Although the thought of how she ended up where she was flitted through her mind occasionally, she gave it no more than a split second’s mind. The Spider Wraith, after sneaking around almost as far as her eight limbs could carry her, ended up someplace she liked very much. From upon the sides of one thing or another, she looked down on all the different people that were going by. These people were not normal people, she noticed. They were more energetic than most of the people she had seen so far. That, and a good deal of them were wearing clothes that could accurately be described as costumes.

As she would later find out, she had wound up in a district of Japan’s capital city, Tokyo, called Harajuku. After watching the comings and goings of the people that prowled the Harajuku streets, she felt something that she had rarely felt before. She felt as though she was not as different as she made herself out to be. With that in mind, she took to the streets. In broad daylight, the Spider Wraith walked through the streets, and not a soul took her for anything out of the ordinary. She even got complimented for her appearance, though she did not understand a word of what the Japanese people were saying. Everyone else thought she was in a costume, too. It made her happy.

Being of French speaking origin, with a fluent knowledge of the English language, she had a very hard time getting used to the smaller things. While walking in the streets without being persecuted was nice, she had trouble with things such as being talked to, not walking alone, and essentially anything that had to do with her being part of a crowd. After learning how to ask if people knew how to speak English, though, things picked up a little bit. “Eego wa, wakarimasu ka?” she asked, not entirely sure if she was saying something she was not supposed to. Not everyone answered with an ‘ee,’ ‘un,’ or ‘hai,’ but enough people knew English to make her feel comfortable.

Harajuku was very good to her. Although she did run into a pervert or two, she had an absolutely wonderful time. The weather was lovely, the people were nice, and the experience was entirely intoxicating. One of the days was especially good. Whilst exploring the retail reaches of Take****a street, a certain piece of memorabilia caught her eye. It was a dress, a remarkably stunning dress. It was in the style of what she learned was called “Gothic Lolita.” It was all black, tight in the body, tight in the arms, with puffed out shoulders, and frills as numerous as the eye could count. A frilly hair band, a silky pair of socks, and a fancy pair of shoes were included. She marveled at how, but she eventually got her hands on it.

That same night, she pulled the dress on, tightened all of the lace, and started acting like a Spider Wraith again. Running up walls and jumping from building to building in the puffy outfit was somehow refreshing for her. After she finally stopped to rest, Miss Spider noticed that she had bound herself right out of Harajuku. It was a smaller part of the city, after all. She could not tell exactly how far out of Harajuku she had bound, but she knew the general area of where she was. This place was called Shinjuku, a not as cos-play friendly part of Tokyo. She did not care, though. It gave her the chance to explore different parts of the city under the cover of night.

Just as the sun was set to rise, Miss Spider entered Nishi Shinjuku. Just as the sun was set to rise, she heard something alarming. A gunshot went off somewhere surprisingly close by. Faster than she was already moving, she sought out the source. Someone might have needed her help. Almost immediately, she was perpendicular to the scene. Someone else was already there when she arrived, but she could not tell exactly what they were doing. Stringing a few webs, she lowered herself down toward the commotion. She began listening to what they were discussing.
